Somewhat long post on my one criticism of Solana culture atm We don't promote our strengths enough and the things where we are not strong in, we try to make it seem like we are. No one talks about how you can't get better spot execution than on Solana. At this point you can buy ZEC and other tokens and get filled more efficiently than Binance and anywhere else. I am personally very excited about @jtx_trade. Spot still matters, it is what drove the last bull run on Solana... lets focus on that too! We're having a bull run in RWA growth, thanks to @kamino pioneering many yield opportunities and @JupiterExchange for being a very strong competitor and growing the pie. We're becoming the collectibles chain. This is going to be massive. @Collector_Crypt and others are leading the way and we need more eyes on these teams. ICM still matters and will have a big run anywhere in the next 1-2 years and it will happen on Solana. As I write this there are some cracked devs building (REAL) cool stuff and working to align their token to the growth of their ideas. I personally don't like that some accounts are talking about Perps volume on Solana being close to Hyperliquid when most of it is wash trading - do you know anyone trading gold perps on Solana? Maybe you do but there's apparently $2B days of volume on gold followed by $50M days. It is simply not worth mentioning. Lets stay consistent and truthful to the data and context of it. With this being said, a lot of people on CT have no idea what they're talking about. Attacking Solana because solana:So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112 isn't performing is stupid. It is highly dependent on BTC and ETH; they're interconnected. One does not move without the other because majors signal vibe shifts and we haven't had one.
Sam Schubert@minnus

The best place to trade @Zcash is starting to be @solana. Across $500 to $3k ZEC/USDC fills this year, Solana beat Binance’s executable ZEC/USDC book by ~7 bps at the median versus VIP 9 and won ~62% of comparisons. The comparison replays Binance’s ZEC/USDC order book and walks the same zcash:native size immediately before each Solana fill. Still small clips, but a real signal that long-tail execution is starting to move onchain. Everything @mert could ask for.

Yes. Solana is an asymmetric bet. Anyone who’s close enough to it sees the potential. It will be 5X (at least) hyperliquid when people realise that is an app chain and Solana is a substrate for generalised crypto business. Of any kind. Perps are a niche feature.
buffalu@buffalu__

the timeline thinks solana is finished. solana doesn't think about the timeline. that asymmetry is the whole edge. the people inside the chain know exactly how big it is. the people outside it can't see it on principle.

Maybe you wonder why I, a mere gun blog, makes a big deal about Flock and similar tech? OK here’s a real world situation that can easily happen and has likely happened. Unfortunately to drive on public roads without getting hassled by the cops, your car needs a license plate. That’s tied to you, the owner of the vehicle. Flock isn’t just a traffic camera, it’s an AI/ML enabled (wait for it) flock of cameras that transmit all their video and audio to the mothership. Not a government server somewhere but, to keep it simple, a big giant cloud computer instance owned and run by Flock, the company. Government users, as well as Flock employees here in the US and overseas, can log in and query the system based on license plate number or even vehicle description and get a full history of that vehicle’s movements throughout the Flock network over multiple jurisdictions. Someone in New York can track a car from Armonk all the way to Homestead FL if they feel like it from the comfort of their desk. On a daily level, someone can get a pretty accurate picture of someone’s life just by monitoring their movements via Flock. And I’m using this example to rattle the cage of the “back the blue unconditionally” crowd in 2A. OK - your car has license plate ABC 123 - and Flock knows this. Someone can enter your tag in Flock and see what you are doing on a daily basis. You leave your home where the neighborhood is under the Flock panopticon. Flock sees you drive to Dunkin’ on Main Street, then you drop your kid off at XYZ Daycare. Then you go to work at the local IT consulting firm in ZZZ industrial park. You go pick up a quick deli sandwich for lunch at Food Lion. You go back to work. On the way home you stop off at Bob’s Guns, and stay for 20 minutes while buying some ammo. Then you go home. Everywhere there’s a Flock camera. Now Flock knows the following about you: - You live at 123 Wisteria Lane - Your kid is in daycare (means he’s likely under 5) - You work at ZZZ - You go cheap on lunch - You own at least one gun Your license plate is tied to you so they now have your name and assumed-to-be-private details of your life, like that you are armed. On the reverse of that, the Flock camera outside of Bob’s Guns has been recording the plates of everyone going into the parking lot. No need for a firearms registry when Flock is doing the work. All of this is done without a warrant and the data is available to anyone with a certain level of access to the system, whether it’s a cop, or a Flock technician in the Philippines. FYI Flock uses overseas contractors for support and AI annotation. The 2018 Carpenter decision at SCOTUS ruled that pervasive surveillance where one can divine private details of someone’s life is a 4th Amendment violation in absence of a specific warrant. Flock is illegal, unconstitutional and immoral. And a danger to everyone, not just gun owners.

📍 Use the DeFlock Map We’re building a public map of ALPRs, AI surveillance cameras, drones, and connected surveillance infrastructure so communities can see what’s being installed around them. The DeFlock App works great, too! deflock.org

im a big fan of HL, jeff, & shoku they are excellent I have noticed though a certain class of .HLs, who are obviously new here, disrespect toly in increasingly cheap ways toly is a monumental mind in the trajectory of crypto ppl dont remember now but there was a long and aggressive period of time where we had to fight every single day, for years, to show that actually you CAN scale crypto to planetary scale and that the ethereum way is not the only option this took an immense amount of work in spite of tremendous setbacks and many near death moments but now the engineering bar in crypto is meaningfully different than before toly. solana has created hundreds of new startups and businesses the dude is rich beyond belief, has nothing left to prove, and instead of checking out like 99% of people here, shows up every single day and has fun doing it you can and should criticize many things about solana, but personal attacks against one of the very rare instances of a missionary founder is unserious and will do nothing but give solana founders free and limitless energy
Havoc.hl 𝕏@Havochl_

This is the perfect example of your founder vs my founder: One is in Washington discussing the future of onchain finance and regulation. The other one is farming engagement in comment sections. @chameleon_jeff and @toly built different.

Karmelo Anthony got a black judge who reduced his bond from 1M to 250,000. Even after murdering his fellow classmate he was allowed to walk for his graduation. This is two tiered justice.

Chud's bail is $1,250,000 for shooting a black man who attacked him. The black man is still alive. Karmelo Anthony's bail was $250,000 for stabbing Austin Metcalf unprovoked. Austin is dead and buried. “Black Privilege” is one of the biggest problems in America.

Karmelo Anthony had a bond of $250,000 btw. He stabbed Austin Metcalf in the heart for no provoked reason and there were multiple witnesses. Chud uses self defense against someone assaulting him and his bail is set to $1,250,000? The system is racist towards White people.
