A white male who mass murdered black people in cold blood in a church didn’t even have to come out as a trans woman to be referred for clemency by a Biden DOI attorney. All he had to do was be a smol bean suffering from mental health challenges.
Katie Pavlich@KatiePavlich

Wow. Murderer Dylann Roof was referred for clemency by Biden DOJ Attorney Elizabeth Oyer because he “suffered from anxiety.” What the hell is going on?

"This is not some minor point. The claim that wealth inequality is exploding is the central premise of Gary Stevenson’s entire economic theory, &, by extension, of this documentary. Take that away, and there is nothing left" --@K_Niemietz for @Quillette quillette.com/2026/07/14/gar…

Oh Amnesty. How far you have fallen. Amnesty International UK compiled an “anti rights”list. And not one Islamic organisation appeared on it. Not one. But Christian organisations were, including the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, as well as the Catholic Medical Association and the Catholic Herald. This is globalist blatant anti Christian prejudice, where mainstream Christian belief is treated as dangerous (seriously) Amnesty then deleted the report when people noticed obvs … but the internet never forgets.

@Danjsalt I presume that when the numbers were lower,it was easy to house them in poor areas, which were easy to ignore, but as the numbers grow, they’re being placed more broadly, in area’s which were previously unaffected, which means the amount of people engaged in this issue will grow

For many in the West, the young, terrified woman in the middle, kept hostage for 15 months, represents the evil. The armed, rapist, terrorist jihadis who surround her represent freedom and liberation. Israel Derangement Syndrome decayed the minds of many who live amongst us.

I was horrified to learn that in the 1950's samesex attracted people were told they were criminals and then pumped full of body altering chemicals. Thankfully nowadays, these people are told they are trans, and then pumped full of body altering chemicals. We've come so far.

Marc Andreessen just named the lie that held for a hundred years and is collapsing in real time. We gave authority to the people who explained things. Not the people who built them. And nobody questioned why. For a century, builders created and journalists translated. The public accepted it because complexity demanded a middleman. But the middleman was never the expert. The middleman was the channel. And we mistook the channel for the source. Andreessen: “You set it loose and it will write you literally a 30-page answer. This is basically like a textbook on any topic.” Any topic. Infinite depth. Zero cost. No gatekeeper. He has a name for what comes next. Practitioner media. Andrej Karpathy doesn’t sit across from a journalist. He turns on a camera and teaches the world how the architecture works. No filter. No editorial framing. No one deciding what you’re ready to hear. The press calls it dangerous. They are not protecting the public. They are protecting the bottleneck that gave them power. The critic always needed the creator. The creator never needed the critic. They just had no other way to reach the world. Now they do.

I watched this conversation between Maoz Inon and Aziz Abu Sarah twice. An Israeli whose parents were murdered on October 7 and a Palestinian peace activist, sitting together, refusing to hate each other. It should be the most viral clip on the internet. Then I opened the comments. Thousands of people, most of them nowhere near the region, telling a Palestinian man he's wrong about his own home. Telling a bereaved Israeli his grief is propaganda. The two people with the most reason to hate chose not to, and the response from the safest corners of the internet was to inform them they're doing it wrong. I understand the anger behind some of it. Real people are grieving, and the war is not an abstraction. But when peace itself becomes the thing you attack, the problem is no longer the conflict. It's you.

The reaction of broadcasters to Gary Stevenson's falsehoods reminds me of the way the old media indulged Carole Cadwalladr's conspiracies after the Brexit vote. Both were allowed to peddle their deranged theories unchallenged simply because they were telling the liberal left what it wanted to hear.
Dan Neidle@DanNeidle

I don't usually write personal stuff, but a few words about my experience of being interviewed by Gary Stevenson. It started with a nice chat, comparing taste in hoodies... then the tone changed. He demanded to know why I'd deleted a tweet criticising him.

@v_j_freeman Zero coverage of the heavy-handed attacks on anti Hamas protests by Hamas and Islamic Jihad over the last couple of weeks as well, so how can anyone truly understand this situation with only half the story being told?

V much recommend anyone who thinks Israel is wholly & singularly to blame for the civilian suffering in Gaza to watch this video to the end. It confirms what used to be common admitted knowledge amongst NGOs, Hamas use Gazan hospitals as headquarters. Doing so in war is a crime.
Eitan Fischberger@EFischberger

"I saw with my own eyes that the hospitals were used to hide Hamas leaders....We saw and even spoke with them." That's what a Kurdish doctor said after volunteering at the Kamal Adwan Military Medical Complex run by Hamas colonel Hussam Abu Safiya in 2024

One of the reasons left-wingers have migrated to Bluesky, but which hardly anyone talks about, is that they know, deep down, the Zeitgeist has shifted. Bluesky is where they can pretend it hasn't.

And those middle earners are already covering costs like student loans, auto-enrolment pensions, social care bills, rail fares that completely undermine the repeated claims on the left that they are somehow underpaying vs countries that subsidise such things via general taxation.
George Eaton@georgeeaton

The harsh reality that Burnham will face is that to raise truly significant amounts you have to tax middle-earners more (like most other European countries). arguably.uk/p/the-tax-trut…
