⁦love being with two of my favorite teacher groups today—@indianawp⁩ teacher leaders and teachers from ⁦@MuncieSchools⁩! We are hard at work reading informational texts, finding central ideas and evidence, and working towards writing source-based arguments!!

I LOVED having so many teachers from @MuncieSchools as part of this professional development last week and I can't wait to continue our learning (and keep reading and writing together) when we are back to school. But, we'll let the teachers have a little summer break first!! :)

Last week, IWP Teacher Consultants and teachers from in and around Muncie came together to study C3WP materials from @writingproject. We are so excited to walk alongside these teachers as they teach argument writing next academic year!

Hey English teacher friends! This year in Creative Writing, I started a daily sentence study warm-up that I called Word Lab. It was the most beneficial 10 minutes of our class, hands down, and I want to share all of the resources I created with you! [thread!]

@jill_christman I was thinking about exactly this when my husband poured over our at-home test results, looking between the kit's "answer key" and our little stick with two clear lines. We've had so much practice wishing for two lines. It's just this time, we didn't want a positive result :(

Back when I was trying so hard to get pregnant, I used to imagine positive lines where there were none. Now my brain plays the opposite game. Same kids: different time, different world.
