@oatsdoc Omg. My mom is FP. She has to know EVERYTHING. Her patients trust her and she is still practicing at 80 years old. She is amazing ❤️. I could never do what y’all do in primary care.

And frankly, I’d argue the opposite. It is such a BROAD field with so many barriers, seeing so much pain you cannot fix, knowing you will be underresourced and underpaid. It is HARD to choose this path, but I wouldn’t trade it or my patients for anything ❤️

One thing I will never understand is people who bash primary care and think it’s “easy.” I deliver babies. I navigate tough social barriers. I prevent disease and give patients quality of life. I have the hard conversations; I hold patients in pain. It’s a labor of love.
