By illuminating the connections between these two places, as well as their histories and geographies of spatial violence, we aimed to confront and dismantle the colonial divide between them.

Yesterday at the Hebrew University, Israelis were shouting at Palestinian students, "May your village burn." This isn't just violence; it's a call for collective punishment. But what's even scarier? They'll later sit among Palestinian students, armed, and no one will intervene>>

**URGENT PRESS RELEASE!!**
Tomorrow morning, Israeli authorities are planning to demolish 47 homes belonging to Bedouin citizens in the neighborhood of Wadi al-Khalil, near the village of Umm al-Batin in the Negev.
This is the largest home demolition operation ever in a single day since the demolition of Al-Araqeeb in 2010, led by Ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Amichai Chikli. Their goal is to ignite the Negev in order to deepen racial discrimination.
The state is trying to force the residents of Wadi al-Khalil to move to Neighborhood 1 in Umm al-Batin, where locals are threatening to resort to severe violence against them.
The residents of Wadi al-Khalil are willing to vacate their neighborhood - for the extension of Highway 6 southward - but refuse to move to the dangerous neighborhood in Umm al-Batin, and request to reside in a neighborhood that is currently under development in Tel Sheba.
According to information available to us, the police intend to block Highway 60 in the morning, to prevent residents of the Negev from coming to support the neighborhood residents.
We invite media teams from Israel and abroad to cover the calamitous event, starting 6am. This severe violation of the human rights of hundreds of people has only one reason - shameless racism of the Israeli government.
Location of the neighborhood:
