@holychoggers @jr_heeen @JVCN0K @TonyStark487772 @fuzzyfromyt an example of this was actually showed last year when a player bobbled the catch and a teammate caught it on the bobble leading to confusion of when the runner was supposed to run, it was ruled they left at the right time (they ran after the initial fielder first touched it)

The options are either sprint as hard as possible to get past him and risk looking like you ran into an easy double play, going to the ground to dodge a tag and make him throw it to the bag, or retreat and hope you buy enough time. I think the result is the same regardless.
