It's terrible politics and precedent but I'm going to be honest and say that the Trump team has been brutally clear they want revenge on their enemies, they are obsessed with Hunter in particular, and that would weigh like hell on me if I were his father and could protect him.

Just to be clear: the incoming Trump administration is going to war against their own GOP senate majority and the constitution's advice & consent provision so they can make a man investigated for *sex trafficking a minor* into the most powerful law enforcement officer in the country.

No one should be able to resign from Congress to hide serious misconduct from the public. And certainly not someone under consideration for Attorney General. The House ethics report on Matt Gaetz must be turned over to the Senate.

The outcome of an election can easily become a Rorschach test on which we project our own ideological priors. In order to avoid substituting narrative for truth, we must go where the evidence takes us. The evidence is clear; the two most potent issues against the Democratic nominee were inflation and immigration. The message that “Kamala Harris was too pro-Israel” ranks 23 out of 25 as a reason not to vote for the Democratic nominee. The far left will never let empirical reality get in the way of its Anti-Israel ideology.
