This is highly relevant in NI too, the commonest factor with our collapsed practices is the negative Carr Hill weighting.
It’s well overdue being reviewed, but cannot become a ‘race to the bottom’, it needs to direct and influence additional investment

@DublinAirport Is there a restriction on lengths of stats in certain car parks? Away for 18 nights in August. Can only book express blue or short stay but if split into 2 overlapping chunks can book all parking options (express red and drop and go).

Incredible figures and replicated widely.
We have a real problem with more and more demand, increasing elderly population, more illness and stagnation of the rest of the system.
GP bears the brunt, can provide many, many answers, but simply does not have the staff or resource

Stats for my practice show we have doubled our face to face appointments in last 30years with fewer GPs but we’re told it’s not enough. More than 7 F to F appts per year is x3 need. Absolute madness.

Only yesterday I had 2 rejected referrals with barn door symptoms and also a flyer (NHS) about increasing awareness of ADHD!!. You couldn’t make it up

@AlanStout19 Very disappointing. Though given they agreed one thing and delivered another last year I have little to no hope of a meaningful agreement. I imagine trusts and civil service staff NIC contributions are covered.

An open and candid apology to all patients. You are about to see already difficult access get acutely worse.
There are no mitigations against the NIC increase, no additional funding and the only way to pay for this is reduced service and likely half day closures

@BMANI_GP We’re 3 weeks away from April. Can we please have some information soon. Can we have a full explanation as to what’s gone wrong with 2025/25 contract with regard to where the fully funded indemnity went, and if this was in a contract why SSPG could not pay it as agreed?

@AerLingus please help urgently. My son is at Lyon airport. He has a broken leg. His insurance company advised they had booked him a row on the 14:50 to Dublin today. He was brought to airport by ambulance. No record of booking at check in. Insurance say phone you.
