@slidecube @07_messiah @JamTarts He’s affecting defenders and the goalkeeper. This is offside. I don’t understand the decision or the debate. So many times goals are disallowed due to other players than the scorer being in an offside position. This is no different

@dissidentwest Skill issue. In my early 20s I ran 30 to 40 miles a week and would experience them frequently. Having said that, I never had one before 5 miles into the run.

No one can convince me that the “runner’s high” isn’t a myth. I’ve played sports my entire life and never once experienced anything close to it.

@StefanMolyneux This is reddit-level atheism and it sounds retarded because it is retarded. And I'm not even a believer.

If God knows everything past, present and future, He is all-knowing. If God knows the future, He cannot change it, therefore He is not all-powerful. If God knows the future, we do not have free will. We cannot be punished for our choices if they are not in fact choices.

I wanted Hearts to win, but this is not how the offside rule works. Maeda is in an offside position here, but the ball was not passed to him, and he is not interfering with the play. Osmand is well onside when the ball is played forward, he receives it, and carries it beyond Maeda's position which puts Maeda back onside and eligible to receive a pass. Heartbreaking though it is, it was a clean goal and it was rightly awarded.

@chimeraxmachina I have a comment since I know multiple people who lived in East Germany under the DDR. You're framing here betrays that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

@afcwikky To be clear, I don't think the Champions League is nothing, especially since we've never won it. It would be a pretty great consolation prize. But I want the league more.

If we don't win the league, at home by myself because I know I will be miserable company. If we do win the league, my Sunday pub team barbecues at the brewery that sponsors us for every Champions League final, and I will be there. I want the league. Champions League is either going to be icing or a consolation prize to me.

@michaelmalice @tonesdot @jabelincoln There's no such thing as "the exact same". Coriolis effect of the Earth for one thing. We're never in the same location (universally) ever, for another, so gravitational factors play in. In short there are a whole bunch of things that this "midwit" considered that you didn't.

The people who answered “50%” will largely think of themselves as the “Smart Ones (tm)”. They think “heheh, I know that no matter the past, the chances are still 50%” because their mind is just a factoid-junk-drawer. They won’t see they just argued the coin has free will/agency

Let's suppose you flip a coin and it ends up heads Let's suppose you flip it again with everything in the exact same position, using the exact same motion, and exact same environment What are the odds it will be heads again?

@Efflixus @Sup3rbobb Burnley has one win (2020 Aubameyang own goal), and won draw (0-0 in 2022) at the Emirates. They've lost all other 7 visits to that stadium in league matches.

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

@MOrcmisha @kirawontmiss She saw them both merge in front of her a full 4 seconds before the impact. At the speed she is traveling, that is more than enough time to back off to create more space.

@slidecube @_CryMiaRiver It was mostly gender-nonconforming boys then. The latest wave of females are not little girls taken to gender clinics because they prefer playing with trucks, but mostly teenagers with developing sexualities... x.com/i/status/20528…
BigDTwo@BigDTwo

@_anooshehnouri_ @_CryMiaRiver Many of these girls and young women have developing erotic interests that they should not be ashamed of, but they are being groomed into pursuing them ambitiously & with medical options and social tolerance that didn't exist for prior generations.

Why do early data suggest most detransitioners are female? Simple. Because the social contagion of the 2010s struck predominantly adolescent girls and that cohort is now reaching adulthood and realising they were sacrificed on the altar of trans activism

POV: You thought the “Under 2” free flight rule was a suggestion. Watching this airline supervisor stand her ground is oddly satisfying. If you can’t prove the age, you pay the fare. Period. The way she handled the "call the hospital" bluff? Professionalism at its peak. Southwest really said: “Receipts or a seat."

That's not what the literature says, but if it makes you feel better to just assume something, sure. I am not saying this in a vacuum. I studied psychology at university over 20 years ago when we knew this information. We knew the best thing to do was to give the kids support, and 99% of the time they just turn out to be gay. Only a rare handful ever sought transition and even then, there was a lot of "are you definitely sure" conversations.

@slidecube @_CryMiaRiver That's probably because parents whisking their kids to gender clinics were more homophobic toward homosexual indications from boys than from girls.
