I wanted Hearts to win, but this is not how the offside rule works. Maeda is in an offside position here, but the ball was not passed to him, and he is not interfering with the play.
Osmand is well onside when the ball is played forward, he receives it, and carries it beyond Maeda's position which puts Maeda back onside and eligible to receive a pass. Heartbreaking though it is, it was a clean goal and it was rightly awarded.

I am not saying this in a vacuum. I studied psychology at university over 20 years ago when we knew this information. We knew the best thing to do was to give the kids support, and 99% of the time they just turn out to be gay.
