@MJGold I didn’t read it as a slight against Anna as much as it was a) lazy clickbait and b) reinforcing the narrative that the only thing that matters in the sport is Olympic medals. The article itself was fine but the tweet was careless

Unfortunately, track athletes rarely get mainstream recognition for their greatness. As a result Katie defends Anna against a slight that’s not actually a slight, and from an ally (T&FN) of the sport. And they delete the tweet. Not sure if this is the reason.

Kelvin Kiptum just ran his 22nd mile in 4:18. 4:18! That's one of the fastest (THE fastest?) miles ever run in a marathon, and he's doing it 22 miles in...

On Wednesday I wrote about unbundling sponsorships so brands can more directly align themselves with supporting women’s sports. Today World Athletics announced NTN as the presenting bib partner for women’s events. I’m sure they’ll be huge!

@Lilot1TrackMind For US athletes… it is THE qualifying event. This will be a HUGE year for the people of Eugene. Biggest question is how do us middle class track fans find any “affordable and available housing” for both the National Champs and especially the World Champs?? Gouging is rampant!
