Things noticed while putting together my notes for today's Tracking the Machine segment.
OTD 1976, #Reds beat the Cubs 14-4. Dave Concepcion made two errors, bringing his MLB leading total to 9 on the season.
But the note of the day: Batting just .157, and trying to change his luck, Concepcion climbed into the clubhouse dryer at Wrigley. Pat Zachry turned it on and Concepcion took a couple of tumbles. He would collect 3 hits and hit .304 over the remaining 129 games of the season.
