@ronsterd89 Don't cook in much water. Water is the enemy of flavor. Saute in a pan with olive oil or butter. Also saute onions, garlic, and seasoning. Same method whether canned or fresh.

What can I put in canned green beans to improve their flavor? I hate them, but we're on a budget and have plenty of them.

I have this auntie who always smiles too much. The type that greets you warmly but her eyes are doing calculations. One day she came to visit. She looked around my house and said, “Wow… you live nicely.” I said, “Thank you.” Then she asked, “How much is rent here?” I said, “It’s okay.” She laughed. “Eh don’t hide, I’m your auntie.” Auntie or tax collector? Then she started asking about my salary. About my relationship. About whether I’m saving. About whether I’m planning to buy land. Then she said, “You know, your cousins are struggling. You should help them.” HELP THEM?? I smiled politely. “Auntie, I’m also building my life.” She said, “But you don’t have kids. Your money is free.” FREE?? My money is free because I didn’t give birth? So I looked at her and said, “Auntie, being childless doesn’t mean being responsible for other people’s children.” Her smile disappeared. From that day, she stopped visiting. And the peace I felt? Amazing. Because some relatives don’t love you. They love access to you.
