@SperanzaIntel I kinda quit when started playing Marathon 🤷🏻 I know a lot of people hate it but I dig it. The PvP is really good and there is plenty to do. The PvP in Marathon made me realize that Arc Raiders is a PvE game with added PvP for more sales. But hey, if it's fun it's fun.

Started it back up because I'm sick of AR Now that I've spent more time on it I found myself wanting to play Marathon more than AR. The PvP is so good. It's taught me that AR was a PvE core game turned PvPvE for better sales.

@sloMo_84 @saltyy_savage @ArcRaiderAlerts Yea just focus on factions and not so much on what gear you have until you unlock new cal and cyac upgrades, then you will get free gear … if your solo, slow right down don’t rush

@guinnessstache @ArcRaidersInfo I retract this statement Now that I've spent more time on Marathon I'm really enjoying it. The PvP is phenomenal compared to Arc Raiders. It's obvious to me that Arc raiders was a PvE game at its core turned PvPvE for better sales.

@guinnessstache @ArcRaidersInfo This is pretty much what I came to say. I decided to purchase Marathon but after about an hour I realized it was a mistake. Idk if I'm doing something wrong or not but I wasn't impressed in the slightest. The look with all the color is the only thing it has going for it.

@sixbeast43976 @ARCRaidersMedia I take that statement back about Marathon. Now that I've played more and learned the mechanics of the game, I'm having a lot of fun on it. Playing Marathon has taught me one thing about Arc Raiders... Arc Raiders is a PvE game turned PvPvE for better sales.

Yeah I get that, getting bored with something is just being a human. But that doesn't mean the game is dying or in trouble lol. I got bored with it a few weeks ago and downloaded Marathon. Boy was that a mistake! Bungie could have had a masterpiece but missed it. AR is something I can play for years, for the casual gamer it's ok that it moves slow.

ARC Raiders has lost around 81% of its Steam player base since launch. The game peaked at 466,000 concurrent players in early January 2026, and four months later that number has fallen to just 80,000 to 90,000. Players have pointed to two main issues driving the drop. Repetitive PvE content has left a large part of the player base feeling burnt out, while a growing cheater problem has pushed many others away.

So, I bought this game a month ago and hated it. Decided to take a break from Arc Raiders and started playing Marathon. The PvP is so much better on Marathon. Arc is a PvE game I don't care what none of y'all say! They only added PvP for better sales numbers. Anyway... After some time I know a little more of what's, what... I'm having fun with it. Surprised it's not more popular than it is. Hope it stays around despite rumors because I'll be playing this one for a while.

I don't really consider this a rat. But I'm in "Care Bear" PvE lobbies, or so I thought. This fool waited on me to take down a leaper. Flying Arc was a threat so I went into the building to take some out before I looted the leaper. This dude sneaks in and shoots me at a side andle. Although he did not know which way I would be facing. So I do not consider this ratty behavior. Still pissed me off and unlocked the monster within. Dropped into trios for some KOS for this PvE player. Knocked nine raiders and died again once. But nine people lost their stuff because this guy was lazy 😂

@ArcRaidersIntel Dude I spent over an hour doing boring but PVP. Boring. Everyone just throws badges and sits there 3-peaking the whole time. So much more fun playing with other raiders taking down big arc. I don’t see how people just PVP’s the entire time the play.

@ArcRaidersIntel I never shoot first and I don't loot raiders bodies. I just wish I wouldn't get penalized for knocking them after they shoot me in the back. It's hard to run away knowing they THINK I'm scared. It's just, their free kit isn't worth the effort to maintain good lobbies.

Hardcore gamers are not the only reason why we have games today... Nor is PvP what's keeping this game alive. But I would be open to seeing proof of that claim. But to say PvP keeps it alive without proof is just more nonsense. Plus the PvP sucks in this game. I think a lot of that is due to you never really get a fair fight. It's always someone shooting you in the back or a rat. Then those same people come on X and talk about how great they are at the game lol PvE can get stale tho. I enjoy a little PvP from time to time, but it really depends on your perception of the game you're playing. The beauty of Arc raiders is you have both.

@EmbarkBulletin I played 900 hours in Arc Raider. Now I play Marathon (320 hours) and one offline game. I comeback with new maps

If you have taken a break from ARC Raiders (for whatever reason that may be), what have you been playing in the meantime? Multiplayer games? Single player? A mix?

@BentekkersTV @ArcRaiderAlerts It's fine to me that this game has PvP in it. Occasionally I like to go to Stella trios and play KOS. But for somebody to go in and KOS on a regular basis is insane to me, because the PvP in this game absolutely sucks. Hardcore PvP guys would be better off on fortnite.
