a disclaimer: i didn't invent this idea. there's a core loop heavily inspired by Slots & Daggers (by @Friedemann_A ), the game that created this genre with a brilliant idea and one that i've personally played for hours on my own Steam Deck. what i did was try to create a different version of this already great core loop by adding the item upgrade tension from old school mmorpgs. and i'm very lucky that, by working with incredibly talented artists, i'm about to release my game with its own unique style.
