sad but not really surprising that after 6 years of toiling my way through low-ranking unis and finally ending up at the most prestigious maths department in europe i ince got rejected frm this is where i genuinely see students submit some of the most dogshit work ive ever seen
@CHTCTR@sarahhennies it won't be without financial consequence to some, but the very idea that we cant do what we have always done without resource XYZ is EXACTLY what the buyers of it want you to think. if you fall in to that trap, guaranteed you will lose. don't let them build that cage around you.
@CHTCTR@sarahhennies there are lots of people who do this already and we need more of them. there will be hits taken with the loss of BC but distros, reviewers, contact networks, forums, local scenes, all existed before, still do, and can continue to and become more central again
@sarahhennies Not sure which catalog you found these in, they looks different, but theres a bunch of photos of it in the catalog from Heidelberger Kunstverein and some text (in German). according to the work list in the back there is no recording of it though :(
Since many are asking, the book might still be available in some bookshops around the world but I don’t have updated infos!
Thank you all, we didn’t expect all this 🧡
Yes, Going Out published by umland- Q-O2 is now sold out but a reprint is in the making and we hope it will be available again at the end of the summer 🔥

@pete_swans oh for sure, but at the same time the volume of stuff you can find that I've never heard of, or would maybe have read about and never thought I would get a chance to hear is also huge.
Doing some reading this afternoon and going through these great Lotti Tauber LPs.. She apparently self-released 8 LPs from ‘81-‘86. Vibe is mostly classical solo keyboard minimalism but often feels loose, maybe improvised..
