What many miss is: Evangelism isn't the highest priority of the local church. The edification of the flock is. Evangelism is the outward work of the church. Sunday is to care for the saints. Someone walks in half naked or looking like a shooter or wearing something absurdly distracting, they will kindly be asked to leave for the betterment of the flock. They are welcome back. Basic stuff folks.

Churches must enforce modesty. A woman who comes to church in leggings flaunting her rear, with her stomach showing, or with brazen or braless cleavage, should be sent home. “Come as you are” has limits. If golf courses and restaurants can uphold dress code, so can churches. This is a great way to love your guest and love your congregation.

@amorales866 @LibertyCappy This is all correct. And add in that Ins companies are so shady that hospitals also have to invest in software that analyzes the payment from the ins vs the contract with the ins to verify if they were even paid correctly.

Ok. I have a background in healthcare finance. Here goes. There are charges (basically these are inflated numbers based on a variety of factors), then there are contracted rates, these are negotiated first with Medicare (typically based on cost plus a factor for I reimbursed costs), then there is a Medicaid rate which is below costs. Medicare is typically never allowed to be higher than other insurance companies so most insurers will point their negotiated rates to match Medicare. If a patient is uninsured or underinsured (very high percentage today are in this category), then their charges are reduced to the Medicare rate (hence the $3,000). Now if you are the crown prince from Arabia and paying out of pocket, guess what they are paying the higher rate, which helps the hospital recoup lost money from uninsured patients they are mandated to treat regardless of ability to pay. All that said, the real culprits for this entire mess are the insurance companies who find all sorts of technical reasons not to pay, which ultimately screws the hospital. There are virtually no hospitals in America that turn a profit. The losses are staggering and they are going out of business daily. Soon we will all be forced to travel many miles for healthcare. Giant conglomerates are left. The whole community hospital system is collapsing. Rural hospitals don’t stand a chance anymore. Hope that helps.
