We need to talk about @AerodromeFi Ignition launches because there's a chart going around spreading data without any context. When a token launches with Aerodrome Ignite, it launches with zero liquidity. That means someone has to be the first to deploy liquidity into that specific pool. Usually, that person will only deploy a small amount -so the liquidity on both sides starts extremely thin. Let's use $SUMR and $USDC as an example. I participated in the Ignition Launch and took 10k SUMR tokens (which I received for voting) to pair with whatever amount I wanted - let's say 1,000 USDC. Simple math Price per token: 10,000 tokens = $1,000 USDC 1 token = $0.10 Implied market cap: 1,000,000,000 tokens × $0.10 = $100M FDV The first person who decides to sell just $500 would send the token down to 25M FDV. You should already see the problem here. The chart instantly shows a massive red candle, and people think the token went from 300M FDV to 7M FDV within an hour. It's like saying you're holding $1M worth of tokens on a project that only has $100K in liquidity. On paper, sure. In reality, you're never getting that amount out. So before you repost that chart with zero context, understand what you're actually looking at. Ignition launches aren't broken. Your understanding of how liquidity bootstrapping works is.
