@actingliketommy I saw the whole 23 min video and I’m like , “damn we going back to a vote present on a pre 10/7 bill” lol . The iron dome vote last year and the definition of anti semitism bills I def didn’t like. However, NONE of her comments or overall strong anti Israel record were mentioned

Ana Kasparian's desperate clout chasing of AOC becomes even more pathetic when you realize Ana's attacking AOC for voting "present" FIVE YEARS AGO. On a bill that passed 420-9. Ana. Dude. Give it up. Go on a meditation retreat or something. You're embarrassing at this point.

It's good to criticize AOC's Iron Dome support and "working tirelessly for a ceasefire" line. Those are mistakes. But they should be taken in the context of her full Israel-Palestine record, which is pretty good. If every politician had AOC's politics, Palestinians would be safer

@mikelikes44 @cenkuygur This is a really good point. I think they have become single issue. They’re on the right side of it, but I think they are single issue

@smartdanny3 @cenkuygur Ana and Cenk have abandoned practically all domestic policy. They are single issue pundits that only seem to care about Israel. I remember them advocating hard for universal healthcare, higher wages, paid family leave, overturning Citizens United, etc. Almost no mention anymore.

This might be a stronger clap back than you’ve had against the war or your corrupt colleagues. But we don’t need any more silly beefs like this. You voted in favor of Iron Dome a couple of times. That’s ok, water under the bridge. You voted for IHRA definition of antisemitism, which is inexplicable and egregious. Of course, sending any kind of weapons to Israel is worse than the speech you blocked, but it’s against all progressive beliefs to equate criticism of Israel with antisemitism. I know that stuff is really popular in Washington, but it’s unacceptable to take our speech rights away like that. But everything in the past is erased the minute you start fighting. So, please fight as hard as you can against this war, the insane Israeli aggression and the occupation. No, you’re not fighting nearly hard enough right now. Yes, we would like you in the battlefield next to us. If you can’t fight the establishment over this, what can you fight them over? Either you put your boots on and stand a post or we’re not interested in any sarcastic comments toward people who have been fighting against this war and Israel’s control over this country in the trenches this whole time.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez@AOC

@AnaKasparian I never have. Feel free to continue lying publicly, though. Those checks don’t cash themselves and you aren’t talented enough to be relevant with the truth.

@Sahel497734 @cenkuygur The right hasn’t taken a harder stance on this issue. Tucker Carlson and MGT are literally 2 people. I can start naming left wing pundits , cuz that’s what those 2 are, and you’ll see there’s plenty more of them than the 2 on the right

@smartdanny3 @cenkuygur We aren't doing any kinda of melo-talk here. The right has taken a harder stance on this issue than the so-called Dems/progressives. That's the barometer you should use for comparison not other fellow Dems who have been retarded on this issue since inception! We ain't playin'

@cenkuygur Also AOC takes no AIPAC money. And then on another note, she’s a big advocate for Medicare for all. I just think Ana is picking a weird fight with her. I get the Gavin thing, even though Gavin is def better than Vance or Rubio, but her AOC hate trips me up

@cenkuygur I wasn’t gonna mention Schumer lol. We def want the standards high & AOC is generally on the right side of the issue. Continuing to press all dems is the way to go; however, Ana singling her out reminds me of that guy screaming at Zohran about I/P when zohran is solid on it

@toronai22 U can look at the whole 2028 field and AOC, van hollen, Murphy and Ro are clearly the best on the issue - dem or republican. She already hates Gavin, now she’s after another major front runner, who’s an actual progressive.

And this isn’t an anti-Ro post ad I like the guy. It’s just that you can literally pick hundreds of names out of a hat and they’d have a worse record on this issue than AOC, but somehow she gets focused on disproportionately.

If someone is criticizing AOC for 2-3 votes she had regarding Zionism and Iron Dome, but praising Ro Khanna—you’ve lost the plot (or did like zero research).

@AnaKasparian While AOC is imperfect on I/P, she’s better than anyone whose ever been in the White House and better than most politicians clearly. She’s solid. Also she’s better than anyone considering a 2028 run, except Ro . What are u trying to do here ?

Ana Kasparian
Ana Kasparian@AnaKasparian·
Sure, I might be untalented. Up to others to decide. But I can deduce that voting “no” on legislation that would cut arms to Israel amounts to supporting U.S. funded arms to Israel…as they carry out war crimes and atrocities daily. Those crimes are committed with zero fear of blowback thanks to the defensive capabilities Americans are forced to bankroll. In addition to voting no on that legislation last year, in 2021 you originally (and correctly) voted “no” on a bill to funnel an extra $1 billion to Israel on top of the $3.8 Billion we already send them every year. You got a little pressure from your corrupt colleagues, changed your vote to “present” and then wept about it…literally. Is that what political “talent” looks like? Israel was enjoying an economic surplus that year. We, on the other hand, were not. As for cashing checks, I’d respectfully ask you to remember who pays yours. It’s the people you’re lying to right now.

Yes, the ability to call one of the most heinous crimes against humanity of my lifetime what it obviously is is not merely a litmus test, but a pretty easy one to pass. Somehow @GovAndyBeshear still fails it.
POLITICO@politico

Dem @GovAndyBeshear is declining to call Israel’s actions in Gaza “genocide.” “That’s becoming one of those new litmus tests that we said we would never do as a party,” he told our @DashaBurns on #TheConversation. Listen to the full interview: politi.co/4uVmEfE
