@matt sad indeed, and hard to believe we've lost both James Hamilton and Ian Deeley within a year. Ian was a true radio craftsman... loved the product and the all tools that make it. Big loss. RIP.
English

I'm so sad that we've lost Ian who was an amazing radio practitioner, and fan. He also would have loved the double of a Radio 2 talk up and a Radio Today article!

@rogermosey @adamsherwin10 neither can DAB, the most popular way to listen.
English

@adamsherwin10 I assume it could only be done through online/BBC Sounds? FM listening can’t be rationed in the same way.

@RadioToday hope he scheduled his departure with a Hard Time Marker

@jameswgarnier @HenryPryor our language isn't so simple. That would be "under", as in "under three hours". Unless you're in marketing where "less than £20" is expressed "up to £20".

@DavidLloydRADIO the language has changed over the decades. What then were cuts are today savings.

The Tony Blackburn sofa saga...
Tony Blackburn OBE.@tonyblackburn
Well this isn’t what we were expecting from our new sofa from #Loaf It arrived 2 weeks ago & had to be propped up by books as the leg didn’t fit . They sent another leg which arrived today, and we’ve had to lift the very heavy sofa to put it on ourselves. It doesn’t fit . We’ve been told they have a backlog due to so many complaints & someone will call within 3 days. Not sure how they’ll fix it with a phone call. Strange way to run a business!

@scottygb ...can we still write-in to an freepost address that is without fail somewhere in Derby?

End of an era. Phone call voting is to end on BBC shows such as Strictly and Eurovision. All voting to be online. bbc.com/mediacentre/ar…

All ready for “transfer window slams shut” posts. It’s not a real window, it can’t slam. #DeadlineDay
