@WasatchSentinel @royalriothayden If they offer a fair fee, fair sell on and we get most, if not all the money up front I’m good with it. Wecneed an immediate impact replacement. I dont want a wasted season like we had when Gomez left. That yr we started so promising then fell off because we couldn’t replace him.

@royalriothayden @smartman0728 From what I know, there’s a specific club in England who really wants him, is offering him a great salary (which we would be willing to match), and is willing to pay a solid fee for him. And he wants to go and is publicly saying so. At that point, what can ya really do, ya know?

Completely agreed with this. With slightly better finishing and a worse gk performance, RSL could’ve easily scored > 6 goals in that first half. It was absurd.
The real bummer about it, though, is that we likely only have a few more games of these five together.

Thinking about yesterday’s RSL game… I do think this is the best attack in club history. We’ve never had a team that was capable of playing attacking soccer quite like RSL did in that first half, with all of the interchange between Luna, Gozo, Guilavogui, Solans, JuanMa, etc

@royalriothayden @WasatchSentinel Agreed…however, we shouldn’t be pressured to sell at a discount. We should be fairly compensated for a 19 yr old riser. $10-12m plus add ons and a large sell on could be fair. I’d also want it all up front to reinvest. This isn’t a 30 yr old looking for a chance at Europe.

@smartman0728 @WasatchSentinel Yeah Gomez was around 10M before add ons.. and I doubt those add ons actually hit. But I’d expect at least 10M for Gozo. I’d be disappointed if we sell for anything less.. although I don’t think it helps with him going on interviews and telling the world he wants the move now.

@royalriothayden @WasatchSentinel If we say that we can’t keep him and I’m hearing comparisons of young Pulisic, how much will we sell him for? He wants to go, but he’s u see contract long term and just bc he’s from mls we shouldn’t sell at a discount. If Gomez was $13 mil I think Gozo is more.

@WasatchSentinel At this point I have 0 hope on keeping Gozo past this summer.. but I’m fairly confident on Luna. Bring in a DP to replace Gozo(you need one at his production) and BOOM we are still cooking.

The Champions League had a team from Kazakhstan and Cyprus, so he ain’t wrong… Gozo could start in the Champions League.
So could 80% of MLS starters.

Morgan hasn’t seen one go in yet but I love what we have seen 25 minutes in from him. He is everywhere! A bit unlucky and needs to be a bit better.. but loving the attack. Portlands very poor defense has brought back the #RSL attack we’ve seen this year.

It’s not a style of play or a player-specific trend with that large of a sample size

@MLSonAir Gozo is a budding star, but I don't think leaving this summer is the best option.
He has played 30 MLS games and is at a good club.
