🦁 My biggest points redemption yet & my biggest single booking as a travel advisor! A ₹4L stay at Fairmont Mara Safari Club for 4 nights, all inclusive with meals and game drives, booked entirely with points! 🤯 And at the same time, I also locked in my biggest single booking ever worth ₹20L for a group trip to Maasai Mara as travel advisor. This is probably the first time my worlds as a ccgeek and travel advisor have come together so perfectly 😄 It all started when a group of friends approached me to plan and book their entire Mara trip. After a lot of back and forth, their whole plan was finally locked in. Then they forced us to join them 😂 And since it was Fairmont Mara, the ccgeek in me was easily tempted. This has to be one of the best Accor redemptions you can possibly make, so I finally pulled the trigger. For the group booking, managed to unlock: 🌙 1 night free 💳 $100 hotel credit per stay ✨ VIP perks and prioritized requests etc And for my own being Accor Platinum has already got us a preconfirmed upgrade to a Deluxe Riverfront Tent with an outdoor shower, a category that would have cost around ₹1L more overall! A ₹20L group booking on one side and a ₹4L Accor redemption on the other. Travel advisor 🤝 ccgeek Honestly, super excited for this one! Have also pulled off some exciting flight redemptions with miles for this trip ✈️ Will cover those separately later 👀 Anybody here already experienced Fairmont Mara Safari Club? Cheers to another year! 🥂 As much as I love traveling, there’s no better place to celebrate a birthday than at home with your kids, parents, spouse, and family. I ended up rescheduling quite a few plans just to be home, and it was worth every bit of it. The highlight of the day was the incredible effort my wife put in, along with her baker friend, to create a cake that perfectly reflected one of my biggest passions, cards, points, and miles. She knows me far too well. For someone who spends so much time chasing flights, miles, and the next redemption, today was a reminder that the best redemption in life is time with the people you love. Grateful for another year. Here’s to making more memories, both at home and around the world.

🇰🇪 Behind the scenes of curating our Mara trip 🦁 Informed Fairmont Mara about how important pure vegetarian Indian food and kid friendly options are for our group. Just look at what they have curated for breakfast, lunch and dinner! 🤯 Honestly, I have rarely seen so many options prepared for such a specific request. The team even scheduled a dedicated call with me and the guests to understand everyone's preferences, especially for the kids, and also helped to prepare a detailed 5 day itinerary with timings for the entire stay. They've also extended some nice discounts on experiences offered by the property beyond the regular game drives. @smartspendcode Personally, I didn't like Fairmont much, maybe it's because I stayed a night in JW before. The landscape and game drive in Masai mara was much better than in the conservatory, overall the service and food was also better in JW

@smartspendcode Just see ,if you can find a good deal once you are inside the reserve and you may get unsold inventory at some 30% discount if you book in 2- days before since most of the baloomrides will be booked during trip booking itself so you may still get a good deal.Just keep an eye

@smartspendcode Yep, the main park game drives are the real deal. Try the night game drives organized by Fairmont. They can be fun too. The hot air baloon safari is expensive, but quite fun too

@smartspendcode Their game drives are quite underwhelming IMO. You rarely spot the big cats. The stay and the service are excellent, no doubt. But, I wouldn't recommend more than a 2 day stay. Also, it's much much better to pay and opt for the Mara reserve game drive. Expensive, but worth it

@IAmDevansh_Pal Yes, JW obviously has to be superior to Fairmont 😄 But considering the overall deal and budget for the group, Fairmont was the perfect fit. Hopefully JW someday in the future!

@smartspendcode I have stayed there for a couple of nights but I'll still prefer JW marriott or Ritz Carlton (not stated at Ritz Carlton yet) over Fairmont. JW marriott is much superior than Fairmont masia mara
