@smartspendcode I don't think the 3500 charge is applicable if you need an add-on with a new number. You are basically closing and adding a new one, which is not a reissue. Info as per my RM, make of that what you will

⚠️ Important: From 15 May onwards, HDFC will charge ₹3500 + GST as re issuance fees for metal card variants.
So if your current add on card still has the same number, you effectively have around 3 days left to request replacement and get separate card numbers before charges kick in.

Whenever it is about animals in India, it is always "shrinking habitat" and "human encroachment", programming Indians too to think we are doing something nasty.
It is never "increasing population", "successful conservation", "great efforts to protect nature in-spite of low per capita and high population."

All I can say is, we can't change their attitudes. But India needs to do more to fight this propaganda programming Indians to turn them into protest weapons to derail India.
