@AnonymousAT2 I waited a year after finishing my DAT before having middle schoolers address me as, or be referred to, as Dr Marshall instead of Kendall. All situations and first time interactions are different though so it’s not a strict rule for me.

For those ATs at the HA level, especially those that have switched later in their careers from the college level… how do your athletes address you? Are you (first name)? Are you Mr/Miss/Ms/Mrs last name?

Too bad PTs are against physician owned, collaborative practices bc this should be and can be the norm for orthopedics/sports medicine.

@KMarshallATC Unfortunately all of our physician owned practices around here are patient mills where you only see a PT for 10 minutes then passed to a rehab Aide. Because of this they have a high turn over and now have a longer wait than the private owned clinics.
