Was looking forward to going to the Practical Classics Show tomorrow but work has been so epically shit today that I plan to spend the next 2 days worrying myself sick and psyching myself up to face Monday.

Been to a car meet this morning. Lots of great things but this new Panda was probably the highlight. The wait for these to be made in RHD has been truly ridiculous so I’m so pleased to see they’re now here. Some very cool details on it too. Really hope it’s a success for Fiat

I was only reminiscing about my 2CV Dolly this morning. Love them.
Paul Human Romaines@PaulRomaines

@AutoPap I know it’s a different league but it’s the same when we drive our 2cv. Virtually everyone stops and stares-and it takes quite a while to pass them😀

I was sat on the M1 earlier doing 65mph (lane 1 and cruise engaged). Got passed at speed by an early Toyota Auris with 5 young people aboard. With a space saver on the front corner! Kept expecting to come up to a terrible accident. Hope they all got home safely.

@ShepGoesBlep This phrase was born in the earlier days of the automobile. Engines like the Olds Diesel 350 and Cadillac V8 were definitely performing above average if timing was set properly and all cylinders were firing

Why is the phrase “firing on all cylinders” used when someone is doing exceptionally well at something? Isn’t firing on all cylinders the norm? If one cylinder isn’t firing that’s bad and will cook your catalytic converter This tweet was revealed to me in a dream

@LUDENClassics Overpriced IMHO but then, I wasn’t bidding. As long as everyone is happy, then fair play.

@Bangernomics @Nir_Kahn If James Cameron eventually reveals he IS from the future and he says “Terminator is real, but we were trying to warn you in a way you thick sh*ts would comprehend”, I won’t be in the least bit surprised.

@Nir_Kahn @Bangernomics It is. Check out the 1986 Panda 4x6. But for AI it’s getting worryingly good. Joe Punter wouldn’t know.

@Bangernomics Pretty sure that’s AI. The showroom has a bizarre spread of cars covering about 7 model years, including both a pre and post facelift Strada

Two signs that there are too many classic car auctions and that people are starting to let things go. 2 Fiat Coupes and at least 3 VX220s in the sales today.

@MattTakeThree Got to say…was OK but not as good as the main one in November. It’s a different show theme though so to be expected. Maybe I’ve been to too many now. There’s only so many ways to present tools and endless rows of Hot Wheels after all. Was done by 1:30pm.

@manttimm @NicoNePayePlus It’s also very “off”. They didn’t sell the 131 and 132/Argenta by the time the Mk2 Panda came along in 1986. And as for a 127 and an Uno sharing a showroom…?
