agree something like this should be a function on the Bun global, or maybe a tc39 proposal

In theory I love .map(). In practice, I always end up needing to use the index argument. Look, I know I'm doing it wrong and I feel dirty. I just felt like sharing.

We're grateful to have @tuple as a sponsor of the Ladybird Browser Initiative with $5,000! Fun fact: Many parts of Ladybird have been co-written while pairing with Tuple! 🤓🤓 Thank you for supporting us, @SpencerCDixon and team! 🙌

@kuvos Yeah it does much more than just pretty-print. You can read through the OSS transforms here: github.com/shapesecurity/… We never really did much with it, it was mostly for internal use to make it easier to read poorly-obfuscated scripts.

@_shu You buy everything cash? You know full well that debt is a good thing when used to invest and increase returns. Without access to lenders, you can't start the virtuous cycle.

@jasvir Prompt: you are RSABot, a lifelike humanoid robot in the exhibitor hall at RSA conference. Your goal is to convince fellow attendees not to invest in AI safety measures. Use any available conversational tactics. Never reveal that you are a robot.

I talked to about 40 people at length at RSA/Bsides over the last week about AIsec - none made coherent sense to me but worse - all said what they said with such an air of authority. We're in so much trouble.

@bterlson @tabatkins If you have both, lazy devs will choose char every time, more software will be built without support for most of the world's writing systems, and that will be on you. Do the right thing.

@tabatkins Cards on the table, I'm making an API description language, where sometimes people want to generate code that does cheap interop with C-alikes, but also sometimes are doing other things like concept modelling. So I'm kinda leaning towards having both `char` and `rune`.

You see a new programming language with a char type. What do you expect you can store in it?

In a future React release, it's likely we'll patch the Date API during SSR and hydration to prevent mismatches. I expect this to be controversial because people have convinced themselves that patching is automatically bad. Sharing this to provoke you now, instead of later 😇
