In 29 years of writing features, I never once heard anyone use the terms "A Story" or "B Story" in a development meeting.
Only in TV have I heard these terms.
I think it was popularized by Blake Snyder. As a teacher, I can understand why he did it. But it can fool people.
Outside of true ensembles, there really is no "B Story."
There is only ONE story. Feature subplots support that story.
They influence it. They affect it. They are necessary to push or pull the protagonist on their journey.
If you do not understand why the subplot in your feature is essential for an emotionally satisfying ending, then there is a very good chance you should cut it.

@Mapuchegirl1 @lolausedtorun @SusieM414141 Even in shade, ambient, radiated, and conducted heat from the surroundings can slowly permeate the car's exterior, while the enclosed cabin prevents that heat from escaping, leading to a "greenhouse effect".

The police were called about two vehicles with kids left inside, unattended, when it was 86 degrees outside, 6 total. One woman showed up, but it’s unclear who the other driver was. She insisted nothing was wrong and that the police were overreacting. She became combative and refused to provide her information. In the end, both women were charged with child endangerment. Why do people do this? I could never leave my animal or my child in a car like that.

This police officer was responding to a complaint about possible neglect of some dogs. I'm sure he had no idea what he was in for. He went back and forth with the woman—the homeowner—about letting him in to check on them, or he would get a search warrant and they couldn't enter the home until then. What happened next was like something out of a movie. There were over 30 dead dogs in the house (luckily they don't show that), and even worse, a child was living there. He placed both the husband and wife under arrest for animal neglect. I added parts 2 and 3 in the comments so you can see the full story.

My Papa (grandfather) used to ALWAYS bend down to pick up the pennies left on the ground. No matter where we were, even if he was in a suit.
Since I was a little kid I watched him do this and used to think… 💭 It’s just a penny Papa.. but now I find myself doing the exact same thing. ☺️
It’s like he’s winking at me from heaven. ♥️
This put a huge smile on my face this morning.
