And 11 of them trailed a Dem challenger in cash on hand (!)

At issue is the resolution’s (*nonbinding*) cap on FY27 nat'l defense spending at $920.6B -- well below the admin's $1.15T funding request + House Republicans’ own military appropriations bill.
Could be a source of heartburn, though, for defense hawks.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) didn't vote.

Cuellar also said they've asked the agency for a spend plan and are waiting for it.

Arrington addressed this during the Budget committee markup.
Arrington said the differences between budget and approps will be sorted out either before the resolution goes to Rules or before it goes to the floor.
Dem appropriators noted the resolution is about $200 billion less than what appropriators marked up to.

Both Cassidy + Sanders pressed CDC nominee Erica Schwartz on whether she would look to push back on Kennedy's anti-vax policies.
Schwartz seemingly skirts around (at first) Cassidy's question on whether or not she would have the ability to get rid of people/demote promoting junk science and stand up to any political interference.
"You can just be a CDC director and just take orders," Cassidy said. "We need a CDC that will actually stand up to crazy, stupid things being said that undermine faith in immunization."
Schwartz: "Chairman, you have my assurances that I will continue to lead with my integrity. I will never compromise on the science."
