I just found out that Billy Joel, Rick Beato, and I have the same favorite Beethoven Symphony: the 6th. I think that makes me cool. Finally! JG youtu.be/Q1Bebf3Y2rk

@jawwwn_ Palantir is a modern-day version of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. However Alex Karp does not see that he has unleashed a tragedy on humanity. He understands that there are consequences, but figures the ‘ontology’ will maintain control. Alex shirks responsibility for horrific acts.

Palantir CEO Alex Karp says Silicon Valley is "overselling AI" and telling the public, "Don't believe your lying eyes." "This is a natural resource that is net-net excruciatingly valuable for the betterment of humanity, but it does have some negative externalities." "The biggest problem in this country is, while it will raise the standard of living of the average person, the people involved are likely to get 10-100x wealthier than they already are." "That's a problem for society." "This is a new playbook. There is no playbook. Because this is a neurodivergent age." "In past revolutions, the person at the bottom—maybe their salary doubled, and the person at the top became 5x wealthier. But it was very unusual to be a billionaire 40 years ago." "You now have a revolution where I could become 20x wealthier than I am now, and the person who is working out here—their salary could certainly could go up significantly by any normal standard, over a period of 10 years, go up 50% or double. " We're not really allowed to say this, but it's done by people that you don't really relate to. These are very oddly-shaped IQ specimens that you probably wouldn't want to have over for dinner, and if they were over for dinner, you'd have nothing to talk to them about." "I got screamed at for—first of all, it wasn't a draft. I was like, 'We should have some kind of service,' by that I meant hospital, taking care of old people." "Our fabric of our society is already strained. Wealthy people—it's not like in the '50s and '60s where people actually knew each other, went to the same schools. We're already in totally separate societies." "It's inflammatory, but we already live in a separate but non-equal society." "The actual fear people have is, 'I'm going to lose my job. Now, that fear, even if it's not true, the people running the lab companies, who are the leaders, told you it's true. They're telling you your life is going to suck, and they're also getting very wealthy, and you don't find them very likable." "It's the same problem Germany and Europe have about all these issues. If you tell people, 'Don't believe your lying eyes,' you know what they do? They protest vote." "They protest vote because what they're really saying is, 'You are telling me not to believe everything I know.'" "Why is Palantir the most popular brand in the world People always frame it as unpopular. For every time you read someone, we have 100x the fans." " You know why we're so popular? Everybody else is telling you they're only trying to figure out what you want to hear." "When politicians in this country or anywhere else say, 'Hey, don't believe your lying eyes on migration. Don't believe your lying eyes on nuclear. Don't believe your lying eyes on AI.' They get up and they vote for people who are like, 'Screw these people. I'm going to burn down the house.'" @MeghanEMurphy Donald Trump's supporters started killing police officers the last time he lost the democratic vote. Huge parts of the conservative movement refuse to see anything wrong with this. Anyone who speaks out against it is ostracized from The Party. This is your bastion of democracy?

Attention progressives: If you are allowed to criticize, mock, and protest your government without being jailed or executed, you do not live in a fascist country or a dictatorship. America is a democracy, as evidenced by the fact that your preferred candidate lost the presidential election. Trump won because... people voted for him! Despite every effort to literally off him. Isn't it nice to know democracy still exists in your country, despite your and your preferred party's best efforts to stop it? You know what isn't a democracy? Palestine. Iran. Egypt. Afghanistan. Saudi Arabia. Many other countries around the world. You are very lucky to live in America! That's why everyone keeps trying to cross the border to come into your country! Because authoritarianism is terrible. It really sucks to be murdered because you don't ascribe to things like Islam :( It really sucks to live under communism. When people say things like "Islam is bad." This is why. Islam=authoritarianism. You will be jailed or executed for political/religious dissent. You obsess over Trump and iSrAeL as though they are the enemy despite being liberal democracies, while dutifully spreading Islamist propaganda across social media, imagining yourselves to be virtuous and well-informed. You advocate for communist regimes while those living under communist regimes are desperate to escape. But you are neither virtuous nor well-informed. You are dangerously stupid. To be clear, you can and should criticize whatever you want to criticize. But doing that while doing the work of tyrannical, barbarian, dictatorships that would kill you in a moment for speaking out against their regime if they could is insane.

@clashreport @NoahCRothman Maybe he’ll also provide proof that Obama’s Hawaiian birth certificate was fake. In the end, though, this should be seen for what it is designed to do: generate enthusiasm among Trump Republicans to vote in the midterms. It is a naked political calculation.

@SenSanders Hello Bernie, The man attempted to murder federal agents with his car and therefore was shot to death. Because, again, you cannot try to to MURDER federal agents. We have eye-witness testimony that says the man put his car and drive and tried to hit the agent with his car.

An ICE agent shot and killed a 26-year-old man in Maine today. This comes just days after ICE shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Texas. Trump’s domestic army must be stopped.

Fox News' Gillian Turner to Ro Khanna: "Why did you not coordinate with Israel [on your visit], knowing they're a staunch ally of the US…and most importantly, why did you decline to meet with Jewish survivors of Oct 7th?!" Is this a news reporter or an Israeli govt spokeswoman?

If a US Congressman & American citizens were detained illegally by settlers & the military of any other nation, the Ambassador would beg the American people for forgiveness and take action against the perpetrators. The height of arrogance.
Face The Nation@FaceTheNation

Rep. Ro Khanna said his office alerted the U.S. embassy in Israel of his visit to the West Bank, where he said he was detained by Israeli settlers, but Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Dr. Michael Leiter tells @margbrennan, “There was not an alert. There was a question about visas, that is all.” He adds, “When we requested he coordinate the trip with us, he rejected that by basically staying silent. So, that’s unfortunate. This whole incident is unfortunate.”
