Let’s set the record straight:
“Reports claiming that Femi Otedola funded the Dangote Petroleum Refinery are completely and utterly false. He has not invested a single kobo, not one dollar, not one naira. The real story, which those peddling these lies conveniently ignore, is that Mr. Otedola has actually been requesting a special allocation to participate in the refinery’s forthcoming public offer.”
I can categorically state that at no point did Alhaji Dangote request for financing from Mr Elumelu, Mr Adenuga and myself . The Dangote Group is a well-structured organisation that is well vast in raising structured capital for its operations. This is calculated mischief and a deliberate attempt to create rifts and sow discord within Nigeria’s closely knit and respected private sector leadership. These are men who have built businesses, created jobs, and invested in this nation for decades. They deserve better than to be used as props in a social media fabrication.
To those behind this: desist immediately.. And to everyone else, social media is not a tool for manufactured drama. Nigeria deserves truth, not lies dressed up as insider information!

My surname once fetched me a good job when I was still single.
I was jobless and went for an interview, five people applied for the same role. After a written exam, two of the applicants were sent home and the remaining three of us were told to wait for Oga at the reception.
It was in the days of God abeg, when tough times last more than tough people 🤦♀️ The transport fare that took me to the venue was borrowed sef. Mo ti broke pa!
As we sat at the reception, I was using my corner eyes to screen the remaining two people. I won’t even lie, they set pass me 😞 correct human head (in Jenifa’s voice) with designer shoes and well tailored gowns.
Me wey be say na bend down select coat I wear and one pant trousers that has seen better days in the hands of my elder sister.
Loro kan sha, mo koko fe fo but I sha packaged myself and did little Maths; 44 minus 4 equals to 40 😎 Mi o fo fun anybody. I sha dey my lane jeje dey beg my head of inside make he support my head of outside, make two of dem do collabo to get me the job or else, hungerr go wire both of them 😒
After about one hour, they started calling us in one after the other.
The first lady went in, spent about twenty minutes then came out, I thought she would be going home but they told her to sit and even offered her lunch. She was smiling from ear to ear, I was sure she performed well.
My mind do gbim but I reminded myself that me too no small, nothing wey dey come from sky wey ground no fit accommodate.
When it sha reached my turn, I went inside and met the Oga in one fine office like that with cool breeze that made me almost run back immediately after I opened the door. The AC was just releasing cold air tukee💨 tukeeee💨 every minute.
I used style to lift my right hand to my head and tapped it three times while saying prayers in my mind. That was the kind of working environment I needed to be at that time. Everything sengemenge 💯
Oga asked me questions related to the course I studied, I answered. He asked me questions about the role I applied for, I answered. He asked me questions about health and safety in the work place, I also answered them correctly then he paused for a while and flipped through my CV.
It was obvious he had no further questions. Then he suddenly said “you are older than the other two applicants and have no work experience related to this role, why did you apply? “
I was stuttering and trying to form the right response when he suddenly said “you are from Ekiti”
I said “yes, sir”
Then he said “you must be related to Dr. Gbenga Esan, he is also from Ekiti”
I quickly usee my mind to scan my immediate family followed by my extended family followed by my entire lineage, no Dr. Gbenga there but I found myself saying “oh, you know him? “
Then he smiled and said they were once members of a committee a long time ago and that he was a very brilliant guy.
As I hear brilliant like this, I brought out my 32 😁 then balanced my flat yansh very well inside the chair and said “He is my uncle”
“Oh, what a small world. You must be very brilliant too” he said. I nodded my head like a royal agama lizard that has chieftaincy title and said “you will have to find out, sir”
Eweeehhh! 😯 Me no even know where the boldness came from but that was the end of the interview.
He gave me the job right there and told me to resume the following Monday.
I called Daddy mi immediately I stepped out of the building and asked him if he knew any Dr. Gbenga Esan but he said no.
Well, so far he is from Ekiti and he’s very brilliant then he is my uncle and that’s final 😌 We are not even plenty like that in Ekiti so all of us must be brothers and sisters 🙈

Biggest cap 😂😂
Back in 2022, when I was in my second year at university, I had ₦2,700 with me and planned to manage it for three days. Later that evening, my girlfriend called and said she was broke and had nothing to eat, so I sent her the ₦2,700 I had. This girl still complained that the money wouldn’t even be enough for her meals that day 😂 Meanwhile, I was planning to survive on it for three days.
I had to call home and tell them I was broke and needed money. My sister sent me ₦10,000 to manage for three days until they paid her salary. The moment the money entered my account, I removed ₦7,300 and sent it to my girlfriend, then kept ₦2,700 for myself.
Mind you, if one of my guys had called me saying he was broke and needed help, I would’ve either sent him ₦1,000 out of the money or lied that I had no money on me, rather than do for him what I did for my girlfriend.
Women really have it easier, walahi 😂😂

🚨 Arsenal are now confident Jurrien Timber will put pen to paper and sign a long-term extension this summer. Talks have progressed excellently with his new deal reflecting his status within the squad.
In terms of his current health status, groin injuries are very tricky to manage. As far as I know they have been trying to manage him back into playing condition. I was told he was seeing a specialist but I need further confirmation / clarity on that. People around the club are still optimistic he features again this season but truthfully I check everyday waiting to give you the news he is back.
🚨 Arsenal are tracking Mika Godts. My understanding is the Belgian would be very open to joining Arsenal should we step up our interest and make a serious play for him.
🚨 As reported this week, Kai Havertz is pushing to return with Arteta saying he could make Atleti (H).
Finally, like last summer, multiple targets are being spoken to for each position. One of these players is Livramento who is convinced he is joining Arsenal. I must stress we have not made any contact with Newcastle so there is no current indication he is our top target.
Every day there is a new “link” and its probably just Berta doing basic checks. No need for “major breaking” everyday.
I hope this update provides some much needed clarity.

@Mikeliberation Even though it looks anti, your father trained you all well, strong willed, you made decisions you were convinced off and stood by it.
Your papa did well.

My senior brother came home one day with a tall babe from Abia.
He gathered the family and introduced her as the woman he wanted to marry. My dad didn’t even let him finish before he got upset.
He said it wasn’t happening—that all his children must marry from our state.
Mum calmed him down, but she didn’t support it either.
Later that night, after the girl had left, my dad called us together and started giving reasons why we shouldn’t marry from another state.
My brother told him that he and the girl had been together for a long time, so he couldn’t just leave her like that.
I told them to let him marry whoever he likes—after all, he’s the one who will live with her.
The real reason I supported him was because I was also dating a girl from Abia at the time.
Mum later agreed, but my dad still refused. With Mum’s support, my brother stood his ground and married her.
Guess what? Today, that same lady is my dad’s favorite daughter-in-law.

@OlabisiZoey Most women should learn to look at the right examples and not the bad ones.
What one decides to see enforces the kind of influence that drives him/her.
Let the man look at the right examples. Let the woman look at the right examples.
There are plenty right examples around.

Honestly, the issue for most women is not even covering the finances of the home (I mean, a lot of women do this without even broadcasting it) but most women nowadays saw how women in the previous gen did it and had nothing to show for it, they were even taken for granted
Now, everybody is being so careful
