CEO pay of the largest carmakers in the world. Honda: $2.3M Nissan $4.5M Toyota: $6.7M BMW: $5.6M Mercedes: $7.5M Porsche: $7.9M Ford: $21M Stellantis: $25M GM: $29M Folks, don't believe it for a second that US automakers can't afford to pay workers better wages.

21 days from today is the deadline to finalize the state budget so it can pass by our 6/15 deadline. As things stand — w/o change — CA transit systems will commence steps to dramatically reduce service. This should be highly alarming to anyone who agrees transit is essential.🧵

@Scott_Wiener And yet there is gridlock rush hour traffic. It’s utter nonsense.

The transit service cuts CA will experience if the Governor & Legislature don’t act are severe. E.g., Muni will begin eliminating 20 bus lines. BART will have to consider eliminating weekend service, eliminating an entire line & reducing frequency. sacbee.com/opinion/op-ed/…

Biggest barrier to e-bike adoption, IMO 1. Lack of safe bike infrastructure 2. Cost 3. Lack of secure storage options

2 days ago sports reporter @Reiner_Jake recorded people biking on the street saying it was unacceptable (while driving). His employer @kcalnews did jack shit about it & today is trying to get videos of a bicyclist being killed. @KCBSKCALDesk your staff are inciting this violence.
Tim Conway Jr Show@ConwayShow

Bicyclist killed after being hit from behind, attacked by driver on PCH in Dana Point. PCH closed in both directions. Expect a delay of 3 hours

Daylighting makes streets safer for us all. That's why we're proud to sponsor Asm. @alex_lee's AB 413 to increase the visibility of pedestrians and bicyclists for drivers at crosswalks, a safety measure known as “daylighting.” Learn more 👉 a24.asmdc.org/press-releases…

@RBReich So you won’t be an apartment complex NIMBY one day because there won’t be poor people who need to live in them one day? You feel sorry for the poor but want them out of your neighborhood.

Happy Friday. Trickle-down economics is a cruel hoax. Cruel because it's used by the super-rich to avoid paying their fair share of taxes. A hoax because nothing has ever trickled down.

@xolotl92 @KTVU neighbors smoke constantly. can’t open my windows in heatwave without it filling my home (no AC). I support a ban. we’re capable of worrying about more than 1 thing. Not being suffocated w/ smoke would help increase my bandwidth to worry about things that dont directly affect me

@KTVU How many people still even smoke? I think we have more important things to worry about...maybe keep some of this rain water we are getting, help get people off the streets, have roads that don't destroy cars, you know...things that will directly help the community

Nearly two-thirds of Americans said they support banning the sale of menthol cigarettes, and 57% supported a policy ending the sale of all tobacco products, the CDC research found. ktvu.com/news/us-adults…

As a part of this, we're still advocating to see robust bike infrastructure added back into the Better Market Street plan -- for both the short and long-term. We must create a robust Market Street design that is safe, sustainable, and transformative for future generations.

@Mad_Hildebrandt The relief of living in a state that uses its federal welfare funding to actually feed poor people and give help with housing. If I lived anywhere else, I would not be the success I am today. I am a huge return on the investment.
