When tens of founders and investors who had been preparing for months to attend the LSI USA Summit in Dana Point realized they would not be able to travel due to the closure of Israeli airspace, partners across the ecosystem quickly came together to find another way. The initiative began with Caty Pearl, Founder and CEO PearlCom, who connected Ido Hadari ( The Mullings Group) and Henry Peck (LSI) with a simple but powerful idea: if Israeli CEOs and VC partners couldn’t attend the summit in person, we could still create a platform for their voices and innovations to reach the global MedTech community. Startup Nation Central was proud to open its doors and host a dedicated recording studio, enabling Israeli founders and investors to participate remotely and share their work with global audiences through LSI and The Mullings Group platforms. Within 72 hours, the idea became reality: a studio was set up, interviews were scheduled, and Israeli founders were ready to connect with the global MedTech community. The past three years have been more than just challenging for Israeli startups. Yet time and again, the ecosystem continues to demonstrate determination, creativity, and a refusal to let challenging times stand in the way of innovation. Last night, in partnership with Intel Corporation, we officially launched the Edge AI Tech Challenge. Founders, investors, researchers, and industry leaders came together to explore how edge AI is moving from concept to real-world deployment and what it takes to build intelligence directly on devices. The Defense Innovation Unit is now accepting solution briefs for its Deorbit as a Service initiative, addressing one of the hardest challenges in orbit: safely deorbiting unprepared satellites that can no longer be controlled.  As satellite constellations scale, failed or end-of-mission assets persist in orbit as hazards that constrain maneuver space, increase collision risk, and degrade mission resilience. Israeli-founded Tomorrow.io, which develops advanced weather forecasting systems, has raised $175 million at a valuation of over $1 billion! The round was led by Stonecourt Capital and HarbourVest Partners and is intended to accelerate deployment of DeepSky, an AI-driven weather satellite network. The new space infrastructure is designed to enable more accurate atmospheric forecasting than ever before, while closing data gaps in regions that remain underserved by aging government systems. Their total funding now reaches approximately $500 million. Tomorrow.io, which is headquartered in Boston, employs around 150 people in Israel, and its annual recurring revenue is estimated at about $100 million ARR.
