This is more of a general observation but some of you severely underestimate the importance of the Olympics, it's the biggest stage any figure skater can reach It's not some waterpump trophy, it's not the first competition of the season either, you can't just ignore the results

@snowhuffs @yh3xogm If Yuzu jumped every quad in a single program, thats not Yuzu. One of the things that made Yuzu the GOAT is him sticking to his ideal vision of the sport, its the reason he never attempted a 5 quad program again: he didnt feel like he was even figure skating when he did try it.

@yh3xogm Hanyu’s level of skill. The gist is that it takes a lot of bad faith to view all Ilia’s achievements through the lens of the Olympics alone & that is a level of scrutiny no one would hold up their own faves to. It’s an inherently biased and pointless conversation.
