@socmobem compliance with smr sucks in those. I also dislike hard c collars. I dunno I just find that most devastating injuries re spine happen with impact so why cause more discomfort, but again I haven’t listened to the pod episode yet so I’m possibly v wrong😅

@socmobem Oh boy, cspine clearance is my fave. But I haven’t actually listened to this one yet. I literally remember doing walking takedowns on real patients way back four score and seven years ago. I generally dislike it, a lot, especially transporting on a spine board.

@TheSGEM @socmobem @SAEMonline @AcademicEmerMed Totally agree, and with trauma patients we are terrified of aggravating a C-spine fracture with intubation. Yet there’s really no evidence that taking the collar off and gently manipulating the spine would aggravate a cervical fracture.
