Although i'm still quite young, i can't help but notice time slipping right by. The ephemerality of existence is simultaneously beautiful and frightening. Before you know it, you'll be 40 years older looking back at memories of now as if they were yesterday. As if all time in between were but a blink of an eye. It's important to keep this in mind when looking forward too. In a flash, we will be old with an entire life of memories behind us, within us -- all that potential we looked forward to, no more, only actualized experiences in its place. And the full recognition of this leads me only to a renewed passion and appreciation for living life more intentionally, spending my time as if it were the most valuable thing on earth, for what a crime it is to take life for granted
