For those who don't remember, HYBE siphoned off 4.1 billion KRW in NewJeans' revenue from Battlegrounds' contract to another subsidiary (which is now 'Drimage') illegally
HYBE IM (Drimage) took 40% of the revenue generated from the Battlegrounds/NewJeans collaboration as its own revenue when they had no part in it.
Some pointed out that HYBE was engaging in a form of "work-padding" (funneling business to a specific subsidiary).
An industry insider pointed out, "Despite failing to properly perform its role as a manager in this project, HYBE IM recognized that revenue equivalent to 13.3% of its total revenue from last year. Funneling excessive profits to HYBE IM in its early stages will lead to a reduction in the settlement payments for the label's artists (NewJeans) and will have a long-term negative impact on the company's growth."
