💡 Engagement Matters in Recruiting 💡 One of the biggest things college coaches look for during the recruiting process isn’t just your stats or your highlight film—it’s your level of engagement. 👉 Are you showing genuine interest in their program? 👉 Do you follow up consistently and ask thoughtful questions? 👉 Do your emails and conversations make it clear that you want to be there? Coaches notice the difference between athletes who simply “send stuff out” and athletes who are truly invested. Engagement tells a coach: •You’re serious about their school. •You’re motivated and coachable. •You’ll bring the same energy to their team culture. When you take the time to show that you really want to be part of their program, it sets you apart from the hundreds of other emails they get. 📌 Remember: Recruiting is a two-way street. Coaches want athletes who want them just as much as athletes want opportunities. Bring the energy. Ask the questions. Stay engaged. That effort could be the difference between being just another name in an inbox—or the recruit they can’t wait to call.

Remember when I talked about kids posting official visits? No idea how many days ago that was, but X kid posted about an official visit that was happening to X school. This morning commits to a completely different school. This is the wild stuff I’m talking about.

If I try to beat someone then I can only get as good as they are. If I try to be as good as I can be, there's no telling where that may lead.

I have been getting a lot of questions about “how to respond to a camp invite” Here is one example 🔥 Subject: Thank You for the Camp Invite Hi Coach (name), Thank you for sending me the information about the (University) Fall Prospect Camp! I really appreciate the invite. I wanted to ask—beyond attending camp, are you and your staff currently recruiting for my graduating class (2026)? And based on what you’ve seen from me so far, do you think I could be a good fit for your program? I’m very interested in learning more about (university) and to see if there might be a potential opportunity. Thanks again for the opportunity, and I hope to hear from you soon! Best,

Should H.S. Recruits be posting their college offers from schools? I personally think they should be posting only when they announce their commitment! Thoughts?
