Others: garage or screened door open in summer, gone due to AC. Don't see neighbors tinkering on or repairing something in the garage workspace. Releatedly: Borrowing low usage items/tools from neighbors. Slower, less efficient errands leaving slack for socialization. Larger families means exponentially more kid overlap. Less age siloing.

Maybe a substantial input to community collapse is simple, a move people used to make regularly that wasn't generationally transmitted and is now no longer done by default. Like introducing people to each other as just a standard thing that everyone does a bit of on the margin.

fundamental problem with the AI safetyist movement imo. they want transhumanism, they want an AI command economy, they want everything a normal person who might sign on to their cause wants desperately to NEVER happen.
