@Marvphics This is massive. Traditional securitization has been stuck in the Excel + middlemen era for way too long. Those 97% cost savings are wild 👀 RWA adoption is about to go crazy.

Nobody talks about the $3 trillion securitization market because it sounds boring. But this market funds your mortgage, your car loan, your phone plan. It touches your life every day and you don't even know it. And right now it is being rebuilt on a blockchain near you. Here is the thing. The model itself is not broken. Pooling loans together, slicing them into tranches, selling to investors, using the proceeds to give out more credit. What is broken is everything used to execute it: PDFs, Excel sheets, 14 different middlemen passing the same money to each other, each one taking a cut, each one adding days to a process that should take seconds. @BlockTower ran a $170 million securitization deal on-chain through Centrifuge. Cost them $12,000. The traditional route costs between $340,000 and $510,000 for the same deal. Saving up to 97% cost. BIS ran the numbers across 5,000 real ABS products and found blockchain adoption cuts yield spreads by 25 basis points. On a $3 trillion market that is roughly $7.5 billion going back to borrowers annually ( measured with recent figures) @SkyEcosystem, formerly MakerDAO, was one of the first to see where this was going. They built RWA collateral directly into the backbone of their stablecoin system. Today roughly 70 cents of every dollar of protocol revenue comes from off-chain yield sources. Aave and Frax followed. The smart money in DeFi quietly stopped being purely on-chain a long time ago. Now @OndoFinance is running tokenized BlackRock T-Bill ETFs on-chain. $25 trillion Treasury market. 20% of global fixed income and accessible through a wallet. But here is what most people skip when they talk about this. The Federal Reserve published a financial stability paper on tokenization in 2023. Their concern is not regulatory lag. It is that convergence creates a two way contagion channel between crypto and traditional markets that never existed before. A tokenized T-Bill carries the US government's credit quality underneath and smart contract risk, oracle risk, and custody risk on top. Only ~$36B of securitization has actually happened on-chain against an ~ $3T+ (~13T ATH) traditional market. The upside is real but the gap between the vision and today's reality is still very wide. The convergence is already happening and we can see that TradFi and DeFi are not enemies. They are two halves of the same system finally learning to talk to each other. #RWA #DeFi #Tokenization
