parts of modern media became incentive-driven attention systems, where outrage and exposure are monetized regardless of whether the public interest truly requires it - ?!? WHAT

"this wasn’t a simple 'elite exploitation of the lower classes' story. It’s more a mix of improved survival conditions, changing technology, wartime normalization, and then commercial amplification of whatever was legal, profitable, and culturally accepted." IT NEVER CHANGES - AI

true gentlemen drank the best whiskey - and beer - and the cigarette was a novelty for women. But soon, their spoiled kids, who weren't allowed near the whisky, either stole away with it and/or drank beer and smoked cigarettes for fun - it began

in 19th century business, the throngs of immigrants resulted in cities having tons of factory jobs taken by them, and a popular product was introduced, that proved crucially essential for their cramped time as workers - the cigarette. Tobacco and beer drew & reinforced elites $$

@EndWokeness Helen of Troy is a character from mythology, not a real person, and The Odyssey was about a period in history where the population of Greece was already anthropologically locked down. Greeks of that period looked like Greeks of today, or Italian/Southern European. Get a grip, DUH

this seems like maybe where the crux of a deal could lie - Iran is in the middle of a historic drought, facing an even worse summer than last year, with all five working dams at minimal capacity. So how about this: play ball, we help out, or BYE BYE DAMS iranwire.com/en/features/15…

@TeamAOC they didn't overturn anything - they ruled that the manner in which the referendum was balloted was unconstitutional and therefore illegal. Votes on an illegally brought ballot measure are out. Live with it and go complain to the Democrats who tried to pull that BS, not the court

The court in Virginia didn't overturn a map. They overturned an election. We should be clear about that.

here's the truth: AI is considerably trying to act like King Charles, therefore you never ever ask it a question, as you build your algorithm, since there's a social media component to all AI that is prevalent - rather, tell it what you want, and see what it says back, then THINK

wanna know who caused the housing crisis that led to the Great Recession? PEOPLE WHO VOTED DEMOCRAT - they tend to do stuff, like not just taking out a subprime mortgage (?), but to do it in their dog's name, which no one, from any type of congregation, would ever even think of

just imagine Kamala at a summit in China: "Now let me tell you something there, 'Mr. Xi' okay? I mean, now don't get me wrong, I will tell you sincerely & truthfully that I love me some Chinese food just about any old time like everyone else does, but I have simply got to say..."

all things complex are born directly from those most basic, and while it seems scarily true that the complex could someday overtake the simple, it simply isn't all that complex, why that mathematically just doesn't even exist. At all.

I wish chicken breast tasted better. I have no idea how you're all cooking it without it getting dry or chewy. Tips? I tend to skip it and cook thighs instead, but I need to up my protein.

@OccupyDemocrats wow look at all those replies! Guess what though, Gov. Spamburger is alleged to have disapproved of the way the referendum made it onto the ballot, saying, "I'm pretty sure that's illegal!" One general session, an election, another general session = balloted. Not general/special

BREAKING: Virginia Democrats CALL THE BLUFF of Trump's Supreme Court and demand they allow Virginia to use their new maps after rubber-stamping Republican gerrymanders! Virginia Democrats just asked the U.S. Supreme Court to revive a congressional map that would have boosted their chances in November’s midterms, after a Republican-friendly state Supreme Court struck it down in a blatant power grab. The case puts Virginia at the center of a chaotic mid-decade redistricting war, with control of the narrowly divided House of Representatives hanging in the balance. Just days ago, Virginia’s top court killed a voter-approved map that could have flipped up to four Republican-held seats to Democrats as MAGA Republicans maneuver to keep their slim majority in Congress by any means necessary. They know they can’t win fairly at the ballot box, so they weaponize courts and rewrite the rules to entrench minority rule. Lest we forget, this all started when Trump personally pushed Texas Republicans to aggressively redraw their own maps to flip up to five Democratic seats. Then the conservative Supreme Court poured fuel on the fire by gutting a key part of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, greenlighting Republican efforts across the South to dismantle majority-Black and majority-Latino districts that reliably support Democrats. This is not democracy. It’s a coordinated Republican scheme to lock in power even as their agenda and Trump’s unpopularity drag them down. While working families suffer under rising prices, a stagnant jobs market, and homeownership out of reach for young families, MAGA extremists are focused on one thing: rigging the maps so the voices of frustrated and unhappy voters just don’t matter. Virginia Democrats are right to take this fight to the highest court. The stakes couldn’t be higher. If you agree, please like and share this post.

@mukund tell them you're not paying that and if they call police, see what they say about "tips that pay front office staff being mandatory" because that comes out of the payroll, not the customers. If police say to pay, pay. That many people $97 is a steal so maybe raise your prices

I rarely eat out. Maybe once a month. Went yesterday to a restaurant (Italian, Mediterranean) in West Seattle for Mother’s Day last night. Total for 5 of us ( we don’t drink alcohol) with one salad, humus and 3 vegetarian pastas was $97 The check said 3.5% surcharge for credit card. Then 17% service fee, mandatory. Then tips were 20% 22% and 25% optional. I asked if I could pay in cash. No. They don’t take cash. Then how can I avoid the credit card fee I asked. You can’t. So I asked why the service charge. It pays for the employees they said. Then why the tip I asked. It pays for front office staff I don’t get it.

There are children in this country who don't know where their parents are tonight. Not because their parents did anything wrong. Because ICE took them. I've seen the photos. I've talked to the families. This is state-sanctioned terror. Full stop.

The racist comments proudly endorsed today by Jen Kiggans warning House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to ‘Get your cotton-picking hands off of Virginia’ are disgusting and beneath any elected official. I grew up in the South. I know what these racist dog whistles mean.

@Bellorris um no - ask any inner city blacks about how the Democrats, once they took control of the lion's share of black votes in the 60s, created a political machine that's only alienated & oppressed the working class more and more, making empty promise after promise but never delivering

Everything happening in the United States right now stems from racism…plain and simple. Racist white people are willing to tear this country apart just to avoid equality, fairness, and progress for everyone.
