@Brainmage I use a 2-disk USB 3 RAID 1 enclosure It doesn't have the networking of a NAS but if you're just backing up stuff from one computer it'll do fine and will be a litle bit cheaper. Like a lot of folk on the thread I use Seagate disks. AWS glacier for a cheap off-premise cloud copy
