Warfare is a movie about "the best military in human history" getting their asses kicked by a much poorer and untrained guerilla force. The traumatic memories of real soldiers are precisely reenacted, serving to become a monumental metaphor for the futility of war and empire.

@LavenderRex7705 It just became so unserious to me when I realized that the central point of drama in the film, the reason why all things went to shit was because they couldn't call the air force to bomb the neighborhood if they ran into the bad guys.

@sabooschin I thought it had a rocky start and totally fails at being a stand-up comedy movie but thankfully they basically just drop that and the story takes an engaging romantic drama turn in the second half. One of the few genuine feel-good endings I've seen in theatres this year. 6/10.
