Congratulations BMRCL on joining the cut-paste planning club. Your friend BBMP is a leading member of the club. Bengaluru - More vigilance required from us now. @MoHUA_India @Secretary_MoHUA - How can the DPR updation ignore assessing the impact of the competing Tunnel Road?

BMLTA is established. Bengaluru must ensure it works with professionalism. Bengaluru expects BMLTA to: - Review 35m PRR commercial land allocation. - Direct BMRCL to plan PRR metro. - Review 2000 cr road funding. - Pause long/short tunnel & elevated roads - Update CMP

🚨 We didn't realise this Bengaluru. BMLTA is established since 3rd January 2026! That's the good bit. But, - It hasn't functioned. - BDA has started short tunnel work without it's approval. - BDA Commissioner is also the BMLTA CEO now [conflict of interest situation]

Bengaluru: How many more data points do you need to dump the idiotic Tunnel Road? Tunnel Road is - costlier than metro to build - costlier than metro to operate - costlier than metro to use - only for cars Still Bengaluru indulges it. Why? Our apathy? Govt's arrogance?

I ask Bengaluru auto drivers (taxi drivers from the past one month): Why don't you charge by the fare meter? They go: Don't have it. Then I tell them about Nagara digital fare meter. They happily get the App. Now I get Nagara rides a bit easily! That's how networks grow.

The so called short tunnel project between Hebbal and Veterinary College apart from being silly.. Is Also a ecological disaster if built Just take a look at the exit ramps. Forget buffer zone requirements, it literally touches the Hebbal lake. Why is B-SMILE making us cry?

How many Bengaluru citizens are willing (or wealthy enough) to pay INR 650/- for a return journey between Hebbal & Silk Board using the proposed Tunnel Road?

It's frustrating to see no drivers, but I have persisted in my search for rides on Nagara App. It's improving (last week I made 3 trips) Why search? It signals to drivers the huge latent demand for fair fare rides And to see happy Bengaluru drivers earn fairly on meter fares

@lkatheeq Of course our talent is excellent, but wage arbitrage is still the key driver. I was heading a UK GCC unit in 2008. In a strategy meeting we discussed Plan B if INR appreciated against GBP. That GCC's wage costs is still flat as INR depreciated & there are no local jobs too.

Target, the US retail giant, has its second headquarters in Bengaluru, employing around 5,700 people. It is now expanding its footprint at Manyata Tech Park. What draws global companies to Bengaluru is no longer wage arbitrage. As the head of Target’s GCC in Bengaluru put it, they are here for the value proposition the city offers. That value proposition is Bengaluru’s unique combination of deep talent, technology capabilities, innovation ecosystem and entrepreneurial culture. This is why Bengaluru has emerged as the world’s leading destination for Global Capability Centres. Companies are not merely moving back-office functions here—they are locating high-value work, global mandates, R&D and strategic capabilities in the city. Bengaluru competes on talent and value, not on low wages.
Priyank Kharge / ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ್ ಖರ್ಗೆ@PriyankKharge

Recently visited Target's Global Capability Centre in Bengaluru today with Hon'ble @CMofKarnataka and senior officers from the Government of Karnataka. It was great interacting with the leadership team and learning how Bengaluru has become Target's largest GCC globally, playing a central role in the company's engineering, data science, product development and business operations. Today several key global functions for the company are led from Bengaluru, including the Store Design team responsible for designing over 2,000 Target stores across the United States, as well as the company's Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) capabilities. Target's journey reflects how Karnataka's GCC ecosystem has evolved beyond support functions to become a global hub for product development, innovation and enterprise leadership. Our Government remains committed to strengthening the policy and talent ecosystem that keeps Karnataka at the forefront of the global GCC landscape.

Dear Benguluru, What more information do you need to understand that the BBMP's Tunnel Road proposal is deeply flawed idea ? The city must focus on priority completion of metro & suburban rail along with bus fleet augmentation. Please speakup. Sincerely, A fellow citizen 🙏🏽

Deming said 85% of trouble, errors & defects in a work environment stem from the system in which people work; only 15% is due to carelessness, negligence, or employee deficiencies. Nagara Meter Taxi can fix the broken ridehailing system. Bengaluru: Support Professional Drivers

A friend in the US reached out in panic after his wife, who had taken an Uber to the airport early this morning, suddenly became unreachable. With her phone switched off, the family was clearly scared. Despite being on medical leave, the IPS Officer M Narayan sir, the @DCP_ECity responded immediately, personally coordinating the response and directing PSI Dharnesh sir to verify the Uber trip, trace the pickup and drop details, and establish her whereabouts. Within minutes, the trip had been verified and, soon after, the airport police and airline confirmed she had safely boarded her flight. Thankfully, it turned out to be only a phone issue. There was ultimately no emergency, but the speed, seriousness and commitment shown by @DCP_ECity was truly outstanding. He treated the matter with utmost urgency, leaving no stone unturned until the family’s fears were put to rest. This is policing at its finest, where empathy, professionalism and a sense of duty come together. My heartfelt gratitude to @DCP_ECity, PSI Dharnesh, the Airport Police and the entire @BlrCityPolice team for setting such a remarkable example of public service 🙏🏻 @CMofKarnataka @DrParameshwara @PriyankKharge @DgpKarnataka @karnatakacops
