Check out @Socap_ai, an AI networking copilot for entrepreneurs. We've been building this as a way to digitize and democratize my previous experience of raising over $180M using warm intros and it seems to be landing well so far! 👇
Alexander Nevedovsky@ednevsky

💥 After 5 months of closed beta testing, @Socap_ai is out — try it out for FREE now and get warm intros to virtually anyone! We opened up access just last Monday, and it already went viral (2000+ comments on @LinkedIn)!

🇬🇧 Who should I meet/where should I go in London next week? I’m a repeat AI entrepreneur with an exit currently building @socap_ai. Looking to hang VC/syndicate folks which are actively investing in their communities/portfolios — e.g. creating bonds/facilitating intros. We have something really cool to show/offer. Also happy to meet with startup folks who are currently fundraising for mentoring/advising — we’ve seen dozens of founders successfully raise recently. Going to be there from the 7th till the 14th of Oct. Defo planning to attend the @intercom event with @HarryStebbings and @destraynor so can catch up there.

Welcome a new member of the @socap_ai crew!
Alexander Nevedovsky@ednevsky

Excited to announce that @socap_ai head-hunted a new all-star founders coach! Meet Lapka — she’s a proven facilitator with hundreds of energy/productivity hours boosted under her belly. And most importantly, from today she’s available for 30-min online coaching sessions for a discounted price of only $99 — which is 50x cheaper than the same offer from @nikitabier which honestly doesn’t stand a chance in the comparison! Interested? Email me at alexander+lapka at socap dot ai and we’ll get you scheduled or follow the direct booking link in the comments. This special offer is limited to one session per startup/founder!

A few days ago I came back from my first 10-day vipassana retreat and it was bliss 🙏 Tough and hard-working, but bliss. While my memory and sensations are still both very fresh (and I’m literally feeling lighter/calmer) I made an effort in order to make the most comprehensive no-bullshit guide to what Vipassana is — it’s live on ednevsky dot blog! TLDR: - Vipassana is an ancient meditation technique developed by “The Buddha” and it actually helps you to get better at observing your body and decreasing/stopping negative reactions, thus leading to a calmer and more fulfilled existence mostly free of suffering - The 10-day offline course itself (which teaches the technique and more) also has a lot of the digital detox qualities to it allowing you to completely reset a lot of the behaviour patterns - I almost dropped from the 3rd/4th day because of the severe pulsating pain in my sinus — but persevered through meditation and eventually it completely went away! Cliffhanger 🙈 Highly recommend it to anyone but especially entrepreneurs/tech folks. We’re recording a video podcast dissecting this experience specifically for them together with @igindin, a member of the @socap_ai founders community, and I’m surely going to share it in a separate post. P.S. Slowly going through DMs/connection requests and would be happy to reconnect/chat in the coming weeks.

See you in 2 weeks? 👀 Next week, I’m going on my first Vipassana — a silent/no-phone retreat where your goal is to meditate for about 100 hours. Thanks to my good friends @altsyk and @ZiminAlex for inspo and their advice! Has anyone else been/tried something similar? Would love to catch up once when I’m back. P.S. I’m not new to going offline — it has proven to make me more focused, creative, and productive — and I have already written at length about my past experiences. The link to the full blog post is in the thread.

A great read for all my fellow founders!
Alexander Nevedovsky@ednevsky

After about a month of post-social launch hiatus (check out my previous @socap_ai-related posts if you’ve missed it/curious), I’m back to posting/being active here and elsewhere. How have you been? The life of an entrepreneur is very challenging — and I would argue that being a repeat one like myself — you only make things harder on yourself because you’re much more aware of the hardcore stuff you’re going through plus there’s this internal voice that has more power over judging you sub-consciously. Was going through some stuff over the weekend and wrote this piece for all my fellow entrepreneurs who are also struggling at times — with some tips on how to handle that. The link is in the thread but I’ll be posting bits and pieces over the next week or so. P.S. This is a photo of me from May's IRL fundraising event hosted by @socap_ai.

🙋 Why I started @socap_ai (YC W23) as the top YC founder and what’s next Thanks all for the support during last week’s @socap_ai (YC W23) announcement! A lot of you were curious why I decided to start it after transitioning from CEO to a Board Member at @mightybuildings (a top @ycombinator company) — here’s why 👇 I’m a rare founder who has been at the other side of the venture table (just to remind you, I started as a VC having founded a number of firms — Ruvento Ventures, EnchantVC, and HaxAsia to name a few — and have famously invested in 2 unicorns out of 17 seed investments while at Ruvento). Being a VC was fun and all, but I wanted a more interesting challenge. When we started Mighty, I couldn’t have imagined how complicated this road would be. As a deep tech company, we needed to raise A LOT of funding and needed to raise it fairly quickly. So far, Mighty has raised over $150M all the way from YC W16 to Series B in 2023. During this journey, I learned from the best of the best — at the YC Series A program and from the unicorn founders who have angel invested in us/advised us. Hundreds of people have helped me along the way with their generous feedback and, most importantly, intros/connections. I don’t think we would have been able to get there if not for my meticulous approach to parallel fundraising and activating/growing my social capital. I started @socap_ai (YC W23) because I grew tired of seeing founders completely misunderstanding what the successful fundraise looks like as well as lacking a quality way of growing their network. Oftentimes it’s a one-time opportunity and if you fuck up the process, that’s it. My mission with this is to change the mindset and make it 10x easier with the help of AI and the right kind of infrastructure (e.g. community). The tech startups scene and fundraising as the use-case is just the beginning for @socap_ai (YC W23) — I, my partner @ednevsky, and our team (former VC associates and finance leaders) are so well-connected and well-versed in this beachhead market segment, that it would be stupid to start anywhere else, especially seeing founders pain every single day (I get around 50 connection requests daily from founders seeking help). I’m proud that along with the official Socap.ai announcement we have started hosting regular Socap.ai fundraising bootcamps as the initiative where founders can learn from me and a slew of other top founders (@MichaelandMa, @slyjacklee, @aahholm, @Chung, @bykahlil to name just a few, there are dozens more whom I'll tag in the coming posts) — for free. We’re pioneering a more streamlined way for these top founders to share their social capital and help companies/founders they like, all powered by the AI platform we’re currently beta testing. Excited to kick off our bootcamp cohort #1 this Thursday — we’ve already started sending out first cohort acceptance letters — check them out if you applied! #fundraising #startups #socap

🙏 Thanks for your support on the announcement of @socap_ai (YC W23) last week — I can finally share pics from the offline fundraising meetup where I secretly unveiled Socap.ai a few weeks back! We’ve gotten Product of the day on Product Hunt, hundreds of DMs/emails, and most importantly, over 300 wait-list applications. Our first Socap.ai-branded bootcamp (it’s free to join but subject to selection) kicks off this Thursday and tomorrow is the application deadline — so if you were waiting for a sign, now is the time. Sign up on our site or follow the link in the first comment. To various investors in my network (VCs/accelerators/syndicates etc) — we’re currently chatting with a bunch of our kind about supercharging the way investors help their portfolio/share connections with the help of our platform. If you want early access to Socap.ai — book a 1-1 call with me on our site.
