@speed_visions Last year, @jeff_gluck told me NASCAR was hoping that the Chicago street course would get other cities on the phone hoping to host. That doesnt seem to be the case. If San Diego is a one time thing & no other cities are interested, it seems like this may be their only SC option.
English

why? wasn't the idea of a street course to move around to different places? also why are we going back to Chicagoland just to seemingly ditch it next year?
I'm gonna be the hater on this one.

NEWS: NASCAR is moving closing to again racing in downtown Chicago, with growing optimism that the Chicago Street Course will be part of NASCAR’s 2027 schedule, sources tell @TheAthletic. nytimes.com/athletic/72731…

@npowell0599 @AlexShowman48 What about the fans that want to keep it and bought tickets?
Also, they could always run both tracks in the same season. San Diego is a one year deal. 🤷🏻♂️
English

@AlexShowman48 The same fans who are crying about Chicagoland aren’t buying a ticket. People show up to the street race, people don’t show up to Chicagoland. If you(they) wanted to keep Chicagoland, maybe they should’ve bought a ticket.

@ChrisPress6 @brettbphoto I don't disagree, and that's unfortunate. I have mine and am very excited for the weekend.
That being said, it doesn't change what I said above.
English

@something_zrl @brettbphoto Tix sales at Chicagoland are dismal

Chicago in 2025 was one of the coolest experiences I've had at a race so I would not be opposed to seeing it come back. I just hope that this is replacing San Diego and not Chicagoland, because Chicagoland fully deserves a guaranteed Cup race

I did not start this. The 42 apparently doesn’t know where the RS of his car is and where he is in relation to the outside wall. There was 2 ft outside him and I was judging my left side tires to the hash marks. Always know who your racing beside. 🤬

"And then he just wrecks him." Here's what happened between John Hunter Nemechek and Kyle Busch coming to the white flag at Texas.
English

Kyle Busch furious with Carson Hocevar after Hocevar comes down on him.
Busch: "That's the fucking stupid shit that makes him a fucking asshole. God dammit, dude!"
Kneeland: "We haven't run in the top 10 in like three years. We're having a great day here today. Keep it together. I know it's not perfect. Just keep your shit together, we're having a good day."
Busch: "OK, psych major. that's not at all what I'm talking about. Let's keep it in one piece, that could have ruined our day. OK? It's other people. I'm fine. Put a bag of ice in your crotch, let's go."

Yeah, okay buddy. You hired someone who stole tens of millions worth of information, lied about communications y’all had after you deleted them and now is getting paid double to work on your truck program? GTFO.
What was it you called Richard again?
Was it you who was leaking information after RTA calls?

@jeff_gluck I'm not saying I speak for everyone, Jeff, but I'll be honest...I stopped voting because it all just feels "meh" at this point. Rarely expect a good Cup race with this car, and interest is waning for that series. I wonder what O'Reilly poll turnout would be in comparison.
English

Bumping the poll since this is on pace for another low voting total.

Was Talladega a good race?

@ItsMichaelCarey My favorite genre of NASCAR car. 2006/07 body styles (minus COT wing) were the best. Every manufacturer looked good.

English

I’ll forever stand on the hill that the 2006/2007 Monte Carlo SS was one of the most beautiful body styles for Chevrolet.

Meet Ford Racing Mustang Cobra Jet 2200.
This electric drag car was engineered for one thing: pushing the outer limits of quarter-mile performance.
See it this weekend in Charlotte at the @NHRA 4-Wide Nationals.

@Ilikeracing3 @bobpockrass Yeah, it's like when Kyle made a great move to get the lead, held it going into three & four with 2 to go while the rest of the top five was nearly wrecking behind him, but then let one of those guys catch and pass him, while making nearly no effort to prevent it before losing.

@something_zrl @bobpockrass That was not a choke. Do you even know what that word means?
English

@Ilikeracing3 @bobpockrass That doesn't negate the choke job today lol
English

@something_zrl @bobpockrass Your current champion. Thats right.
