I find that the right mix of readings matters more than the volume per se. For example, my advanced undergrads like primary source-type readings (like texts of laws) as complements to the analytical/academic readings.

I've been told my expectations of 150 pages a week for intro level & 250 for senior level are still too high.

Cultivates good research instincts around feasibility, creativity, and taking incremental steps; curbs perfectionism; normalizes failure. It is a lot fun
