Aren’t there physical standard requirements to be a firefighter, much less a commissioner of the FDNY? Zohran Mamdani has appointed an it, Lillian Bonsignore as New FDNY Commissioner Although he/she has never served as a firefighter, it is confident that won't matter! Imagine a lifeguard that has never swam before! Bonsignore is a trailblazer for the LGBTQ community who will serve as the FDNY's first openly gay commissioner. So another DEI hire!
