Yh LH is insecure of someone that has 8 wins in total. LH is insecure despite being the quicker driver by a margin in both AUS and China at 41 against your driver in his prime. CL didn’t have a pace advantage( faster in corners) he simply had more power. Not hard to understand

The most hilarious observation I’ve made so far this season is that Hamilton fans seem to care (and are more insecure) about the intra-team battles than Leclerc fans are.

Andrea Stella says he's "confident" that McLaren will be fighting for podiums & victories on merit in 2026. "I think the MCL40 is a very high-potential platform. At the moment, our car, when we compare it to Ferrari and Mercedes, suffers a bit of a deficit in grip. So, Ferrari and Mercedes are faster than us in the corners. I think compared to Mercedes we see that we are probably underexploiting the power unit a little bit. It was better in China compared to Australia. We are on a steep learning curve when it comes to getting the most out of the power unit, which is positive, and we are working very well with HPP to make sure that we get on top of all the potential, extracting all the potential that is available in the power unit. But coming back on the chassis side, we understand exactly what to do in terms of putting in place the actions to improve the chassis furthermore. In fact, it’s just about bringing upgrades that will increase the aerodynamic efficiency. These will happen in the next couple of events, so I think from there we should see a positive trajectory and we are confident that McLaren will be in condition to compete for podiums and victories on merit within this season."

Best chance is if both Ferraris get ahead of the Mercs and one Ferrari holds up the lead Merc for as long as possible while the other gets clear air.
Two problems with that plan though:

All in all great qualifying from Lewis incredible last lap and exactly as he spoke on yesterday - he said we have to expect McLaren to get faster and that they will not beat Mercedes.

LEC's last run on new softs was shit.
HAM set a 19.668 on new softs compared to his 20.176 on 13L old softs. that is a 0.5s increase. similarly LEC’s fastest time set was a 19.826 on 12L old softs so i will be expecting a similar increase in laptime with new softs for him
