Consultants in @acutemedicine, have you also started to hate the words "post take"? Especially when verbed ("patient has to be post taked/taken"). In most cases it has nothing to do with a post-take ward round ("PTWR") anymore. Most of our patients are seen during the take.

@Ganesh_ICM @SamGoodhand @LNWH_NHS @drchimaoti @RopeyP It’s so nice to see it brand new all those years ago. We also now have an EDT role here that has totally transformed how we stock up and how we manage our equipment. The EDT’s have been absolute game changers. (Emergency Dept Techinicians).

Every anaesthetic room has crucial stuff in different places. I’ve never been in an A&E resus with the same layout as another, or a standardised storage system. Then there’s stationery & cannula kit on wards🙄 The stress is real. Why do we so openly ignore ergonomics?

I'm a doctor and I call my mother every time I am down with a cold to tell me what to do to get better 🫣 She's not a doctor but she's my mom so it checks out 🤷🏾‍♂️ It's usually a cocktail of ginger, lemon, honey and.... Love! She needs a pay rise✊🏿
