I have received a number of requests for system design type of projects. This weekend, I’ll create a system design series, starting with one project to address this topic. The deliverables will include an Architecture and Tradeoffs markdown files. Actual implementation is optional. I’ll draw the problem sets from my own experience in payments and e-commerce. So expect something like a database with product catalogue and a task to design an efficient search feature. You’ll create a PR or discussion in your repo; whichever is more convenient for you. It goes without saying that using AI to generate the markdown files defeats the purpose of the project.

Finally.....

I’m seeing David Schwartz actively engaging with SLT content, and now he’s literally linking up with the $SLT dev “24hours” (100K+ YouTube subs) at Ripple HQ in San Francisco, the invite came directly from David himself. He’s been taking pics throwing the $SLT salute, and I’ve even heard chatter he’s subscribed.. On top of that, $SLT is running its own validator…

I think we should have these sessions more often. Maybe once a week. I will check in with the missus because this will eat into the time we spend together on weekends. So pending approval from 'management' 😂, we can have this session every saturday

I have spent a significant amount of time designing the last project in the backend engineering path I created. It has been challenging for me 😂 I wish those who have the courage to complete it good luck. I tried as much as possible to simulate real world expectations.
