Bhain mé an-sult as an ócáid seo! GRMMA leis na daltaí agus na múinteoirí go léir a bhí i láthair. Tá súil agam go raibh cuid agaibh spreagtha i dtreo na scríbhneoireachta ina dhiaidh ✍💛

Inniu, bhí ár gcéad ceann de ár imeachtaí One County One Book ar líne againn leis an údar Éireannach Méabh Collins. ‘Sé 'Freya Harte is Not a Puzzle' an chéad úrscéal a scríobh Méabh agus is scéal suimiúil agus íogaireacht é faoi thaithí chailín uathach sna déaga. Labhair Méabh faoina próiseas scríbhneoireachta agus thug sí leideanna spreagúla do dhaltaí maidir leis an scríbhneoireacht. Bhaineamar go léir an-taitneamh as aithne a chur ar Méabh agus táimid ag súil go mór í a fheiceáil arís in imeachtaí níos déanaí sa mhí. Tá cóipeanna de 'Freya Harte is not a Puzzle' ar fáil ó do bhrainse leabharlann áitiúla agus ó leabharlanna taistil Chontae Chorcaí. Today, we had our first One County One Book online event with the Irish author Méabh Collins. ‘Freya Harte is Not a Puzzle’ is Méabh’s first novel and is a touching and captivating story about the experiences of an autistic teenage girl. Méabh spoke about her writing process and she gave encouraging tips to students on writing. We all enjoyed getting to know Méabh and we’re looking forward to see her again in future events. Copies of ‘Freya Harte is not a Puzzle’ are available from our Cork County Library branches and mobiles. #TeenLiteratureFestival2024 #OneCountyOneBook #YoungAdultReads @soundslikewave @creativeirl @HealthyIreland @Corkcoco @LibrariesIre @OBrienPress
