Bellows is (and always has been) unable to connect with regular voters outside of her far-left progressive base. Even under the dome, moderate lawmakers distrust Bellows and her progressive pipe dreams. She only became Sec of State after 5 rounds of flawed ranked choice voting.

My biggest concern with nominating Bellows (who has a great platform) is that she might motivate Republicans to come out and vote *against* her. Read the replies to any of her posts (when she has them on) -- Republicans hate her more than any other candidate in the ME Gov race.
